Jenn Tran Takes Shot At Devin Strader During ‘DWTS’ Premiere?
Throughout Season 21 of The Bachelorette, Jenn Tran related every episode to a specific Taylor Swift song. Now Bachelor Nation fans think Jenn Tran took shots at her ex-fiance with her song choice on Dancing With The Stars. Keep reading for more.
Jenn Tran Takes Shot At Devin Strader During DWTS Premiere?
Jenn Tran is a huge Swiftie. She’s not the first Bachelor Nation alum to use Taylor Swift songs to relate to certain relationships. Who can forget Katie Thurston’s ’12 weeks of messy’ where she paired a song with someone from her Bachelorette season?
However, Jenn’s use of Taylor Swift songs was a little different. She took to Instagram before or after every episode of her Bachelorette season to use a Swift song that she felt best represented the episode as a whole.
In Week 9, she used “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” as a diss against Devin Strader, who she was briefly engaged to. She also used “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” to indicate her healing journey after he ended their relationship after just a few months. When Jenn was announced as contestant on Dancing With The Stars, many fans expected her to use a Taylor Swift song for her first dance. Instead, she chose an equally pointed song: Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” which is allegedly about Miley’s ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
“I can buy myself flowers/Write my name in the sand/Talk to myself for hours/Say things you don’t understand/I can take myself dancing/And I can hold my own hand/Yeah, I can love me better than you can.”
She Reacts To Former Suitor Jonathon Johnson Supporting Her From Live Audience
Despite just recently losing her fiance, Jenn Tran had a huge support system in the audience during the first DWTS episode of the season. Her former suitor, Jonathon Johnson, showed up to cheer Jenn on.
She spoke to Us Weekly and revealed how much it meant to see him there. “He’s such a good friend of mine and to be able to be here in L.A. and to, like, cultivate that friendship with him now, it’s exactly what I need right now is someone to lean on and he’s been exactly that.”
While the two claim to be just friends, many Bachelor Nation fans think there might be something more there.
Do you think Jenn’s DWTS was a shot at Devin?
Tune in next week to see Jenn’s second dance. Next week also features a double elimination, so be sure to vote if you want to save Jenn!
