‘DWTS’ Wants Lacey Chabert To Compete, What Does Hallmark Queen Of Christmas Say?
Dancing With The Stars has recently shared their Season 33 competitors, however Lacey Chabert is not on that list. The Hallmark Queen of Christmas is also the network’s Queen of Dance. Her movie Christmas Waltz is a holiday classic. Moreover, the ABC reality show has asked her more than once.
Why won’t the Mean Girls star compete in the series?
Why Won’t Lacey Chabert Go On Dancing With The Stars?
Recently, the popular actress has been promoting her new Hallmark+ reality series Celebrations With Lacey Chabert. When speaking with Soaps, she revealed that the folks at the ABC reality series have asked her twice, but she considers herself “a nervous dancer,” and, “I’m too shy.”
She went on to gush about how much she loves the series. “I love the show so much. I’m like a super fan of the show. I’ve enjoyed doing it for movies and I learned a routine, but it was actually a big fear I had to overcome.” However, she confessed that dancing on “live TV makes it a lot more scary.”
She confirmed “I love this show, but I’ll just watch from home.”
Lacey has danced with Will Kemp in two Hallmark movies now. First, in the aforementioned Christmas Waltz, and then the Dancing Detective. Both are choreographed by the incomparable Jean-Marc Généreax. While Will is world-renowned as a ballet dancer, which is significantly different from ballroom dance. Yet, the British dancer-turned-actor and the American actress certainly have delighted viewers with their dancing routines.
That includes a great cameo by Will in A Merry Scottish Christmas where they did a Highland dance.
Hallmark Queen Of Christmas Talks To Will Kemp About Dancing With The Stars
It is not surprise that Lacey Chabert has been asked repeatedly about competing on Dancing With The Stars. Just last year, when she and Will Kemp were promoting their Hallmark Mystery Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango, Will asked her about it on the Facebook Live.
There’s been a lot of talk about Dancing With The Stars. I’ve heard it. You’ve heard it. I don’t think I’m allowed on that show.
Between giggles, Lacey replied, “I love watching, but am too scared.”
However, it was Will that noted that she kept better time than he, the professional dancer, did. But, it does not appear that Lacey will be dancing on live television anytime soon.
