Discovery Fans Are Concerned About Gold Rush Star Freddy Dodge
Now that the Discovery Channel is airing Season 4 of the fan-favorite gold mining series Gold Rush: Mine Rescue With Freddy & Juan, viewers are already talking about it! That is because fans saw Freddy’s social media post. This has caused some concern.
On Twitter, Freddy posted, “Hey guys, please check out an ALL NEW SEASON of MINE RESCUE WITH Freddy & Juan Tonight at 8:00 EST on @Discvovery. Thank you and share if you would”
With this new season, there is a new Freddy. He is considerably slimmer and his normally round face is quite gaunt. Most of all, fans have noticed.
One fan responded to the gold mining expert, “Hey Freddy, Are you doing ok???” The fan continued to ask about the miner who originally showed up on the OG Gold Rush as part of Todd Hoffman’s team. “Does Freddy seem to look a little unhealthy?” He pointed out that Freddy had put on some weight. However, many scenes from the preview show Freddy looking considerably thinner and his face looks gaunt.
Freddy Dodge Had A Cancer Scare A Few Years Ago
Now that Gold Rush: Mine Rescue With Freddy & Juan is back, fans are talking about Freddy Dodge. This was sparked by a social media post that got responses from fans who were concerned about his weight.
One fan reminded others that Freddy had a “cancer scare” a few years ago. However, another fan pointed out that seeing Freddy so active. Moreover, they pointed out that if things were not going well for Freddy’s health, he would have been sitting at home in front of the TV “due to a lack of energy and mojo.” Most importantly, he sent positive vibes to the affable Freddy. “I wish him well.”
It was back in Gold Rush Season 8 that Freddy Dodge learned he had cancer. Most of all, he had the Discovery cameras along as he went to the doctors and had surgery. Thankfully, when they cut out a tumor, it was benign. However, since Dakota Fred Lewis lost his battle with brain cancer, fans are understandably concerned about their favorite gold miners.
