‘American Pickers’ Jersey Jon Shows Off Rare Find
Jon Szalay, also known as Jersey Jon, shocked fans with a recent rare find. Many American Pickers fans said they’ve only seen the antiques he found in museums. So, what treasure did Jersey Jon uncover? Will fans get to see it on the new season of American Pickers? Here’s what Jon revealed.
Jersey Jon Shows Off Incredible Find
Jersey Jon has quickly become a fan favorite since he began to appear on the History Channel show. Recently, he took to social media to share a pristine Indian Motorcycle Company motor. The motor, which is nearly 100 years old, is practically brand new.
On Thursday, the American Pickers star shared several photos of the motor, sharing some details about its past. It was made between 1929 and 1930 and they only made 150 of the specific motor Jon found. While the company was best known for its motorcycle motors, this is an outboard motor that was used for boats.
His snapshots included the instructions for lubricating and starting the motor, which are engraved on the sides. Best of all, the company logo and all the text were legible on the motor.
“Did you know that the Indian Motorcycle Company made outboard motors?” the American Pickers star wrote in the caption. “Yup they did! They made only 150 in 1929 and 1930, this survivor is the nicest original paint motor I’ve ever seen and it’s for sale, please serious inquiries only.”
Pickers fans were thrilled to see such an artifact. “First glance. Thought it was something out of Star Wars,” one person remarked. Another person commented, “Wow. Very cool. Always hoped I’d stumble on one.” A third called the find “incredible,” while a fourth said it was “very cool.”
New Season Of American Pickers Coming Soon
American Pickers fans finally received word about the upcoming season of the History Channel show. Mike Wolfe announced that new episodes will premiere in October 2024. He quietly announced the exciting news about the next season in the comments on Instagram.
A fan commented on one of his recent posts saying, “Man, I miss your shows.” Mike wrote back, “New ones starting in October.”
This quiet announcement has come after a lengthy break for the History Channel show. Many fans have been worried about the future of American Pickers. However, now they can rest assured that it will return to television this fall.
The upcoming season will feature Mike Wolfe, who started the show back in 2010. Danielle Colby and Jersey Jon will also star in the upcoming new episodes of American Pickers. Unfortunately, there is still no indication that beloved Frank Fritz is returning to the show.
Fans will remember that Frank left the show in 2020 due to complications with his health. He had severe back problems, he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and he had a stroke, which left him in a wheelchair for some time.
