‘Chicago Med’ Adds Two New Series Regulars For Season 10
Chicago Med is making some changes heading into Season 10. All the Chicago One shows are making changes, with Chicago Fire losing a long-time cast member and bringing in a new major star as the chief. Chicago P.D. is also making big changes to its cast. Now, it looks like Chicago Med is following suit.
Here is who the medical drama is bringing in for Season 10.
Chicago Med Adds Two New Names For Season 10
Chicago Med will have two new cast members in Season 10. The show is bringing in Sarah Ramos (Parenthood) and Darren Barnet (Never Have I Ever). Both will join the show as immediate regular cast members, moving directly into the starting lineup. Ramos will play Dr. Caitlin Lenox, and Barnet will play Dr. John Frost.
Like the other Chicago shows, this one comes with the departure of another long-time cast member. Dominic Rains, who has played trauma surgeon Dr. Crockett Marcel since Chicago Med Season 5, is leaving the show. The two new cast members will come on to help replace him.
Last month, original cast members S. Epatha Merkerson (aka Sharon Goodwin), Oliver Platt (Dr. Daniel Charles), and Marlyne Barrett (Maggie Lockwood) all signed new deals through the 2024-25 television season. Luke Mitchell, who plays Dr. Mitch Ripley, will return as a series regular.
Who Are Sarah Ramos & Darren Barnet On Chicago Med?
While there is no word on the roles the new characters will play, we do know a bit about the actors playing the characters. Both of them are obviously doctors on the show, and both actors have an extensive library of work coming into Chicago Med.

Sarah Ramos has been acting since she was a child. Now 33, she got her start in TV commercials as a child and then picked up the role of Patty Pryor in the NBC series American Dreams in 2002 when she was 11. She won several awards for her role there, including Best Actress in a TV Drama at the Young Artist Awards.
She then took on the role of Haddie Braverman in Parenthood in 2009 and was a regular until Season 4, when her character went to college. On the big screen, she starred in the 2022 Oscar-nominated movie Babylon. Other TV roles include The Affair, Midnight, Texas, and The Bear on Hulu.
Darren Barnet began acting professionally after college in 2013. He picked up smaller guest roles in TV shows like This Is Us, S.W.A.T., and Criminal Minds. However, he got his biggest role in 2020 when he signed on to star as Paxton Hall-Yoshida in Never Have I Ever, the crush of Devi Vishwakumar.
Most recently he played Matty Davis in the movie Gran Turismo, the 2023 rom-com Anyone But You, and the Prime Video remake of Road House.
