‘Chicago Med’: Brian Tee Exits After 8 Seasons, Why?
NBC’s Chicago Med will soon say goodbye to a favorite character Dr. Ethan Choi portrayed by Brian Tee. The actor has been a part of the show for eight seasons. And now, his character is soon to make an exit. Why is Brian leaving the show? Does it have another better acting gig? Or does it have something to do with the makers? Brian Tee Will Exit Chicago Med With Season 8 Episode 9
Fans will get to see Dr. Ethan in action for a few months more after which the character will no longer be a part of the show. As per Deadline, Brian’s character will exit the show in Season 8 Episode 9 titled Could Be The Start Of Something New. The episode will air on December 7, 2022. The 45-year-old had a six-year contract with the network after which he decided to part ways.

According to sources, the actor made this decision to spend more time with his family. The actor also plans to “pursue other opportunities expanding on his experience as an actor, a budding director, and producer.”
Brian Will Return To Chicago Med As A Director
However, Brian will return to the series, although in a different role during which he will take his seat in the director’s chair. Talking about his stint as Dr. Choi, the actor said, “Ethan Choi represents to me the first time I’ve actually played a protagonist in such a strong way and he catapulted me into a different arena, one where I feel the perception of not only myself but Asian Americans had been changed.”

“Just having an Asian face as a leading man was a stepping stone if not the ladder,” added the Japanese-American actor.
Brian Tee Will Share Screen With Nicole Kidman In Expats
Among his future gigs, the actor will star in an upcoming Amazon Prime series titled Expats opposite Nicole Kidman. As per sources, the series’ shoot location is in Hong Kong.

The couple shares a daughter Madelyn Skyler Takata, born in 2015. Currently, the actor’s net worth is an estimated $4 Million.
