However, someone who claims to be close to the family says that it’s fake news about the Mama June: Family Crisis family.
The Custody Case Moves Along In Mama June’s Favor
When Anna Cardwell died, Mama June Shannon immediately took Kaitlyn in because a decision wasn’t reached before Anna’s passing. Shocked WeTV fans couldn’t believe that she separated the two half-sisters, Kaitlyn and Kylee. Plus, they knew from the Mama June: Family Crisis show that Anna mentioned that she wanted her new husband, Eldridge Toney to be their dad.
Michael Cardwell filed for custody of Kaitlyn because she knew him very well. Additionally, he paid some of her expenses. Straight away, the battle started. Mama June Shannon got a win when she requested that someone from Child Protection Services hand over records. Actually, it seemed she wanted to prove abuse by Michael.

The Case Is Over For Michael Cardwell?
On Reddit, an OP shared some screenshots from a random TikTok account that claimed Michael Cardwell lost rights of custody. The story alleged that in terms of the “Equitable Caregiver Act,” he would not be able to fight for custody. Well, in the screenshot of the comments, some people called it unlikely as it’s way too soon for a judge to make a decision.
Someone on Reddit who saw the post claimed that it was fake news about Mama June Shannon. The OP wrote:
Is it true that Michael lost the fight in terms of the Equitable Caregiver Act? Saw this on TikTok Am reading this from a tiktok page and there is word that Michael will not be eligible to fight for Kaitlyn. Is this verified bc this just seems like a bunch of word salad and bull honkey bc. there doesn’t seem to be a lot of word from official things, just hearsay. I hope it isn’t true bc Kaitlyn deserves privacy and to be with her sister in the same home when possible and to see her mother’s family, Michael’s family and Eldridge too. there shouldn’t have to be a one or none choice in the matter
Fake News About The WeTV Star?
Mama June; Family Crisis fans saw in the comments section that a member of the community claimed to be related to Sugar Bear. They explained, “So I’m related on sugar bears side. This info is false. For now .. we really hate this :(“ The contributor also elaborated,m saying, “We all know June would have sold the story.”
Later on in the comments, the person in the know about Anna Cardwell’s child said, “She will [sell the story] when the judge makes the ruling. sugar bear texted my dad & said it was false.” To doubters, they added, “Sugar bear is way more connected to the family then (sic) what tv leads on. Like, way more.”
