‘Yellowstone’ Alum Kevin Costner’s ‘Horizon: An American Saga–Chapter Two’ Gets Prestigious Premiere
On Wednesday, Kevin Costner got a big win regarding his dream project Horizon. The Yellowstone star has a premiere date for Horizon: An American Saga–Chapter Two. Moreover, it will premiere at a prestigious film festival.

Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga– Chapter Two Gets Prestigious Premiere
Yellowstone fans who have been waiting to watch Kevin Costner’s second Western are steps closer. On Wednesday, Deadline shared the announcement that Horizon: An American Saga–Chapter 2 will be shown at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. The festival will screen this movie on Saturday, September 7. This will be screened out of competition. This is the World Premiere.
Also, “In an unprecedented move,” The festival will air the first movie, Horizon: An American Saga–Chapter One earlier that day.
Costner is pleased about this development. “My dream was always to show Horizon: An American Saga–Chapter Two at the Venice Film Festival.”
The fact that they now have decided to show Chapter One earlier in the day and then the World Premiere of Chapter Two that evening shows not only their belief in how the two films work together, but their support of a director’s vision.
Costner also thanked Venice artistic director Albert Barbera. “I’m indebted to Alberto Barbera for his courage and leadership in committing to this cinematic journey.”
In turn, Barbera responded that it was “a great pleasure and honor” for this festival to host both of this director’s films. He praised the “visionary project” of the actor and director. Moreover, he praised the epic, and praised its “search of authenticity.”
Second Movie Premiere Was Scratched
Originally, Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga: Chapter Two was going to premiere in movie theaters in August. However, after a less-than-satisfying premiere of the first movie, they regrouped and decided to approach the release differently.

Those Kevin Costner fans who have yet to see the first Horizon: An American Saga movie can watch it from home. Since July 16, this movie has been available on PVOD. That means viewers can purchase or rent this movie on Prime Video, AppleTV, VUDU, and Google Play.
This Western film is the second installment of the four movies about the Civil War and the Western Expansion that happened during this era. Besides Costner, the other stars of this movie include Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, and Danny Huston.
