‘American Pickers’ Mike Wolfe Taking On Role Of Mentor?

Mike Wolfe is continuing with American Pickers. While many fans are not happy with the show’s direction recently, especially after Frank Fritz left, History Channel is still happy with it. They signed Mike for three more seasons, and the next one should be here later this year.

In a recent Instagram post, Mike even said he is working to mentor others now. Here is what the American Pickers star had to say.

Mike Wolfe Working As A Mentor On American Pickers?

Since the History Channel fired Frank Fritz from the reality show, Mike Wolfe has been working on American Pickers with a new crew. Mike has moved on with his brother, Robbie, and Jersey Jon. Whether they have picked up the slack left behind by Frank is up to the viewers to decide.

Mike Wolfe has been having fun with them, at least. In a recent Instagram post, Mike, 60, posted a photo of him talking to Robbie, 63, and Jon, 61, at a folding table. He then wrote in the comments, “Blessed to be a mentor to these two crazy guys… Here I am explaining to them the particular shade of green this Tin Army Jeep toy is… They obviously thought just green but in fact the correct term is OLIVE Drab Green.”

It was clearly a joke, and it seems that the three of them will keep hunting the country for the best finds for American Pickers for at least three more seasons. From the comments, it also seems like there are several fans who have bought into the new cast.

  • “All great dudes! Love the show more than ever now that jersey is on. Dude reminds me of guys I grew up with”
  • “you’re just trolling them aren’t you?”
  • “You’ve been a mentor of mine since I was 9 years old in 2010 and I’ve been watching your show since day one.”

When Will American Pickers Be Back On History?

For fans who are more than ready for more American Pickers, the show will be back sooner than later. The show wrapped filming the new season in June, which means all that is needed is editing and scheduling for History Channel.

When asked about the new season, Mike Wolfe said that he thinks the show will premiere Season 26 in October. This lines up, as there were new seasons starting in October in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019. There were two seasons a year through that time, but since the pandemic, there has just been one. It looks like they might be hitting two again, though, and the next is almost here.

What are your thoughts on American Pickers since Frank Fritz left the series? Do you think Mike Wolfe has been able to hold it down with the new cast? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
