GMA’s Michael Strahan & His Daughter’s Cancer Fight
Good Morning America fans felt so sorry for Isabella when she and her dad broke the news on television. She’d just been looking forward to the fun of college and the world was at her feet when she fell sick with a brain tumor. Since the news arrived in October, her dad and his daughter kept GMA fans updated.
Michael Strahan’s daughter recently told her fans via her YouTube vlog, that she’d been for her final chemotherapy session. That was great news because she didn’t handle it very well. Sometimes, she cried, but her dad would always step in and help to cheer her up. So did her twin sister, Sophia. Often, she appeared in the various vlogs being supportive and keeping her sister smiling through the hard times.
Isabella Strahan Was Excited On Final Step
On Wednesday, Isabella was so excited because it was time to remove the port where the chemo went into her body. She showed viewers where it was under the skin near her neck and a bump below her chest. It hadn’t hurt much, but she said that often, it felt a bit “uncomfortable.” The next scenes showed the medical staff at the hospital dancing and cheering her on her way as she was moved to the operating theater for surgical removal.
In her vlog, she said:
I just talked to the plastic surgeon who’s gonna close it, the anesthesia doctor… I talked to everyone. And I’m really excited. The recovery for this seems to be like four weeks of not going in water and stuff like that. Just being careful and scar care. So, not too bad.
After Michael Strahan’s daughter got back from the surgery, she told her GMA fans “It’s all gone, as you can see. The only thing that is very sore is where the actual port was.” She added, “I loved my little nap, but it hurts to laugh or move around.”
Finally, she explained, “I have an IV they placed in my hand. I also have an MRI tomorrow. I’ll keep you updated.”

“She had trouble with”, not “She didn’t handle it very well.” Even if Ms Strahan said that about herself, no one else can say it because it’s not true. she is getting through, and that’s “handling it” as well as anyone could ask for.
