The filming of the new Hallmark Countdown To Christmas movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. The network is filming on site in Kansas City, in the July heat. However, Hunter King and Tyler Hynes have proved to be Christmas movie pros.
The local press has mentioned how cool both actors look. Do they mean temperature or looks?

Although fans watch the Chiefs in the cold and crisper time of the year, and Hallmark Christmas movies in the cosy winter, they are filming this new Christmas movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story in some sweltering heat.
The Kansas City Star spoke to Hunter King and Tyler Hynes about the weather. But, they were cool. The on-screen couple “laughed off questions about the heat.” They have both filmed plenty of holiday movies to know that this is part of the gig. But, the paper did note that they “both held bottles of water and battery-operated fans.
Hunter was truly in the holiday spirit. She shared that she had a hot cocoa. While the conditions are not ideal for winter clothes, the reports are that Hunter King looks amazing.
Keith Nielsen Is The Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story Costume Designer
Already, there has been some buzz about the cool fashion in Hallmark’s new Christmas movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story. The movie has barely started filming, but Hunter King’s attire has already been praised.
The local paper wrote, “King wore a long Chiefs sweater coat that is bound to go viral.” That is no surprise. That is because costume designer extraordinaire Keith Nielsen is working this movie. Last Christmas, his work on several movies was praised.
Back when Mystic Christmas premiered, Keith was on the Girls Gone Hallmark podcast discussing his work on Hallmark movies like A Biltmore Christmas, and A Merry Scottish Christmas. Keith Nielsen created the beautiful gowns that Bethany Joy Lenz and Lacey Chabert wore. He is also designing for Lacey again in the 2024 Christmas movie The Christmas Quest, as well as for The Finnish Line starring Kim Matula.
Whether designing gowns for Lacey or Bethany Joy, or selecting the right colors of sweaters and coats for Jessy Schram, Keith is very methodical about his approach to designing the right wardrobe that is visually appealing and adds to the movie.

His work begins weeks before a movie begins shooting. First, he needs to gather information before putting together an on-screen wardrobe. For example, he shared that this includes looking at the location pictures. He explained that he may contact the location person to see if they plan on painting beige walls in a house. When he found out that was not going to happen, he revealed, “I was like good to know so I don’t put anybody in beige against a beige wall.”
Therefore, to already get some notice in the sea of Kansas City Chiefs red is no small feat. Therefore, plan on seeing Hunter King in a wardrobe of fantastic Chiefs red attire. This movie should premiere around Thanksgiving.
