‘Welcome To Plathville’ Will Kim Plath’s DUI Be In New Season?
Undeniably, the Plath family is going through many transitions in the upcoming season of Welcome To Plathville. With the introduction of the new trailer for Season 6, fans got a glimpse of what is heading their way. But one big question is if Kim Plath’s DUI details will be discussed in the new season.
Welcome To Plathville Shows Big Changes In The Plath’s Lives
Without a doubt, the Plath family ended Welcome To Plathville Season 5 with Olivia and Ethan Plath going their separate ways. Likewise, Kim Plath was getting cozy with her boyfriend, Ken Palmer, after she left Barry Plath. But there was no mention of Kim’s DUI. Some people believe TLC is covering it up. But with a new season ahead others wonder if it will fall in that timeline since filming is always delayed. Fans can look forward to catching up on what has happened since Season 5 for Kim, Barry, and their children, Ethan, 26, Hosanna, 24, Micah, 23, Moriah, 21, Lydia, 20, Isaac, 18, Amber, 15, Cassia, 13, and Mercy, 11.
Kim Plath Loosens Up
Since Welcome To Plathville is premiering on Tuesday, July 16, fans are wondering if Kim Plath’s DUI will be included in the new timeline. According to the new teaser, Kim is certain that Barry Plath isn’t at the same stage she is following her leaving. She says, “Barry hasn’t loosened up” as much as compared to her. In Season 5, she began to go to bars with her kids of legal age and grab a drink here and there. Undeniably, it also highlights she was feeling the stress of closing out her marriage with Barry after 24 years.
Kim, Moriah, Lydia Plath – Welcome To Plathville
In the new trailer, Kim is teaching Moriah some feisty moves on the dancefloor about luring a man in. Additionally, she continues to enjoy alcohol with Moriah, and even Lydia comes along in the newest trailer. As Kim begins to take more liberties with her social life, it seems like it is the lead-up to when her DUI would have occurred in real life.
Will Kim Plath’s DUI Be In The New Season?
Seemingly, things got out of hand for Kim Plath. Furthermore, many fans know that on October 20, 2022, Kim was arrested for DUI and property damages in Florida. According to reports, Wakulla County Corrections documents her arrest with a mugshot from her 2:08 a.m. apprehension for driving under the influence, property damage, and personal injury. In January, The Sun revealed that Kim’s blood test results were not admissible. That determination was made just one day before her pre-trial conference. However, based on the court filing, the results indicated her blood alcohol levels were .161 and .162. This is over the .08 legal limit.
Kim Plath’s DUI Known Details
When Season 5 was ending, Kim Plath was discussing moving in with Ken Palmer who lives in Florida. According to a Florida police report, authorities found Kim’s Chevy Suburban upside down in a ditch on June 10, filled with water. A warrant was issued on September 8, 2022, but her surrender was in October. Additionally, the court documents say, “Trooper Moschetto stated Ms. Plath was conscious and appeared to be in a daze, had red glassy eyes, dilated pupils, and had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath.”
When asked to voluntarily allow the blood test, reports say she “did not respond.” But afterward, she was read rights to consent and she signed for it to be drawn and submitted. Later, she was taken to a hospital for her injuries. Furthermore, Kim was given probation with an order to complete 50 hours of community service following the incident. Likewise, according to Starcasm, she received several penalties for her actions:
Driver’s license suspended for 6 months
Ignition interlock device for 6 months
Subject to random chemical testing any time day or night at the discretion of probation
No alcohol, unprescribed medications, or illegal drugs
Must complete SA evaluation within 30 days and follow all the recommendations of the evaluator
Complete DUI school
9 months of county probation
50 hours of community service
Welcome To Plathville Changes
While there isn’t confirmation, it seems like Kim Plath’s timeline for the DUI would fall in the new season. Many people expected TLC to address it during Season 5, but they seemingly brushed it under the rug. While it may be they are waiting for it to occur along with the reasons why Kim got to the point of losing control, some wonder if they will completely cover up the incident and move on as if it never happened.
But Season 6 is full of new family changes. Olivia and Ethan Plath are navigating life after divorce. And both are hitting the dating scene after no experience aside from their fast courtship controlled by their parents. Likewise, Moriah Plath is struggling with heartache and returns home to Kim Plath for comfort. Furthermore, Micah Plath is refusing to wear shirts but also gave fans a status update about a serious relationship with his new lady. He has moved in with her in Florida and is hesitant to allow fans in since he has seen how being in the public eye can spoil relationships. In the trailer, Barry Plath is still feeling a little flirty with Kim even though last fans knew she was moving on.
