It took a very long time for Season 6 of Unexpected to be released. The big finale celebration for the season was supposed to be Lilly Bennett and Lawrence Bishop’s wedding which happened in early 2023. Then, TLC dragged their feet with the show but cast member, Jenna Ronan got pregnant with her second baby. Therefore, fans were questioning if production was waiting for that baby to arrive in November 2023. Then, that would be the new finale and the show could be released. This came and went and still no show, not even a release date.

Finally, the show returned on June 3rd, 2024 with Jenna and Lilly as the returning cast. Jenna was moving to Myrtle Beach with Luca and her best friend, Dalanie. Plus, she was dating a man named JJ Della. As for Lilly, she and Lawrence were planning a wedding but he was skeptical about rushing. It was a costly endeavor and he did not want to rush. There were also three new couples, Emalee and Nate, who got pregnant after two months. Then, there was Kayleigh and Graham, just 15, who lived at a distance. Lastly, there’s Aniyah and Dakwon.

Since Season 6 of Unexpected wrapped, Jenna Ronan and JJ Della broke off their engagement and she exposed him for being not the best guy. Along with that, Emalee and Nate tied the knot. Though he was 16 on the show, that was in 2022 and it is now 2024. Therefore, he is of age to make these decisions. She was quite controlling but it seemed they found happiness with one another. So, there are two married couples but how is life as husband and wife? A lot of questions need to be answered it looks like that is not happening.
