‘Big Brother 26’ Teases 17 Houseguests
Spoilers for Season 26 of Big Brother have revealed that there will be 17 houseguests rather than 16. Since the extra houseguest has been teased for the upcoming season, many fans are wondering how it will impact the game. Here is what we know so far.
Sharon Tharp Teases Twist For Season 26
Sharon Tharp posted a teaser on X. She wrote, “A little exclusive scoop to hold you over! I’ve been hearing that there’s a 17th houseguest on the #bb26 cast.”
She later returned, adding, “I believe it’s part of a twist that will be revealed early next week. #bb26.”
So, how will the mystery 17th houseguest work for the BB26 cast? Could it be similar to how the producers introduced Cirie Fields last season?
The cast of Big Brother 25 played a series of challenges to determine early punishments for the houseguests. It also helped pinpoint who would be the first Head of Household.
Toward the end of episode 1 of Season 25, the houseguests entered the kitchen where they found Survivor star Cirie Fields. She was eagerly awaiting them to join as the 17th houseguest.
As Big Brother fans may recall, Cirie got to play the game with her son, Jared Fields, for a lot of the summer. This gave her an advantage that many viewers griped about throughout the season.
There have been a number of things teased about the new season of Big Brother. The theme for the season is Artificial Intelligence.
Other Changes For Big Brother 26
Big Brother 26 will air on July 17 as part of a two-night season premiere. The first episode will also look a little different than it has in the past.
The cast will be moving in prior to the first episode. So, there won’t be a live move-in and the first episode will likely be pre-recorded. On top of that, viewers won’t meet all of the houseguests during Episode 1.
Live Feeds for Big Brother will also be delayed as a result of the cast moving in early.
Fans are still waiting for the official cast reveal for Big Brother 26. Usually, the cast is announced a few days before the season premiere. So, fans should know who will appear in Season 26 within the next few days.
For now, viewers only know to be on the lookout for an extra 17th houseguest. Who it might be is still a mystery. Is it possible that BB fans will see another reality TV star waiting to join the cast for Season 26? Only time will tell.
As mentioned above, BB26 kicks off on July 17 on CBS. The schedule for this summer’s episodes is as follows:
