‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Ryan Seacrest Flops In New Promo?
Ryan Seacrest officially takes the reins of Wheel Of Fortune this fall. However, based on a recent promo for the show, many viewers already think Ryan has bombed the gig before it even begins. So, what are viewers saying about this cringe promo?
Wheel Of Fortune: Pat Sajak Stepped Down As Iconic Host
When you think of game show hosts with a long tenure, only a select group of names come to mind. Of course, people will never forget Bob Barker, who was the host of The Price Is Right for decades. However, you can’t mention an iconic host like Barker without also mentioning Pat Sajak.
Pat Sajak hosted Wheel Of Fortune for more than 40 years. Now, late into his 70s, it seems it was finally time for him to step down. Of course, this type of passing of the torch is nothing new. Drew Carey has taken over at The Price Is Right, Ken Jennings is the current captain of the ship at Jeopardy!, and now, Ryan Seacrest is set to take over at Wheel Of Fortune.
Ryan Seacrest Has Some Big Shoes To Fill
With this changing of the guard at Wheel Of Fortune, there’s no question that Ryan Seacrest has some pretty big hosting shoes to fill. Of course, Ryan Seacrest is no slouch when it comes to the hosting game, either. Over the last two decades, Seacrest has become one of the most recognizable people in all of television and radio.
He gained national attention as the host of American Idol, a position that he still proudly holds today. Come this fall, he will officially add Wheel Of Fortune host to his resume as well.
Based on teasers and promos, the network is certainly doing their part to hype this switch, as Ryan Seacrest prepares to take over. However, not everyone is on board with this when it comes to viewer reception so far.

While this new Wheel Of Fortune promo was meant to be lighthearted and all in good fun, many viewers took issue with it, as many commenters on social media had a lot to say.

I still can’t believe you didn’t let Maggie Sajak take over for her father ! She was always there, I don’t understand why CBS is overlooking Maggie, over a BOOB like Ryan Seacrest. He will take a great show, and send viewers else where , very disappointed
Tom Bergeron was the absolute, without a doubt, perfect choice to host Wheel of Fortune!
Absolutely!
I do not like Ryan. Never have…never will. He looks like Joker on Batman.
why didn’t hey give this post to either Vanna or Jim. they have been with the show a long time and know how things work there. PLEASE ,PLEASE RECONSIDER Ryan. I can’t stad him. I don’t like Ken j either. but he’s not as revolting as seacress.
Boy where are the haters they have really come out, not once realizing HOW many mistakes they made on a new job, and if they didn’t it’s because they had experience. GIVE the man a chance because someone GAVE you ONE.
