‘Today’ Savannah Guthrie A No-Show, What Happened?
When it comes to popular morning shows like Today, viewers get extremely attached to their favorite anchors. Viewers also get attached to the routine of putting on their favorite morning show while getting ready for work or doing work around the house. Recently, however, that routine was interrupted when Savannah Guthrie was a no-show during a recent taping. So, what happened?

Today viewers went through enough of a shakeup with Hoda Kotb announcing her retirement. Anchors like Hoda and Savannah Guthrie become fixtures in many homes, and viewers don’t like it when the boat is rocked too much and things change too drastically.
Of course, there are several different broadcast teams in the morning show space. In addition to Today, there are also shows like Good Morning America and CBS Mornings. Because viewers all have their favorites, that also means they are very keenly aware of changes, and recently, Savannah Guthrie was missing from a Today broadcast.
Savannah Guthrie Missing From Today, What Happened?
Recently, Savannah Guthrie was missing from a Today broadcast. Naturally, a lot of viewers were curious about why that was. Guthrie was replaced by Laura Jarrett, and even though the show must always go on, many viewers wondered where Guthrie was, and why she was absent from her usual post.
From the looks of it, there is a good reason that Savannah was missing, and it was not anything ominous. It turns out, Savannah Guthrie was at a book signing event in New York City the night before. In addition to being one of the main faces at Today, Guthrie is also an accomplished author, and eager fans were able to have her sign copies of her book for them.
Savannah Guthrie released a children’s book called Mostly What God Does Is Love You. The book came out earlier this year. So, in addition to all the work that she does on Today, she is also an accomplished author, and many people seem to enjoy what she has to say.
Savannah shared a promo to her social media advertising her book signing. So, for any of her Today fans who are wondering why she did not make it to the set the following morning, she certainly had a good excuse for not showing up. Along with sharing a clip showing off her book signing, the caption reads: “We loved having @savannahguthrie in The Shop for a book signing! Stop by and grab a signed copy of her book in-store now 💛.”
