‘Vanderpump Rules’ Katie Maloney Shares Future Of Show
Vanderpump Rules OG and star, Katie Maloney is sharing what she believes is the future of the hit Bravo reality series. Fans are well aware filming for Season 12 is on an indefinite hiatus and production has some reasoning for that. So, what does Katie see happening with the show going forward? Vanderpump Rules Katie Maloney Shares Future Of Show
Katie Maloney has been with Vanderpump Rules since its inception as a server at SUR. Along with her model boyfriend, Tom Schwartz, they were a part of the OG group of friends. This included Jax Taylor, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, and Tom Sandoval with Scheana Shay as the outcast. There were many ups and downs with Katie, especially when she would drunken rage-text. However, she and Schwartz tied the knot, twice in fact, but their marriage was riddled with problems before they walked down the aisle.
She finally asked for a divorce before Season 10 and tried to figure out what Katie wanted. Along with Ariana Madix, the two began the process of opening a sandwich shop while she was doing her best to live her best life. In Season 11, she stood by Ariana’s side 100 percent no matter who strayed and proved she was a true girl’s girl. Now, with the show on an indefinite hiatus, where does Katie see Vanderpump Rules going? According to Reality Tea, Katie appeared on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast.

There, she dished what was going on with the show and where she saw Vanderpump Rules headed. At this point, she has no idea what is in store for the show or Season 12 and admits that these are “weird times.” More so, she added no one in the cast is really sure what is going on. This could be why Lala Kent and Scheana Shay were so eager to jump over to The Valley. Right now, Katie Maloney is not worrying about the future but had this to say:
“I’m not gonna be concerned until it’s time to be concerned. And it doesn’t feel like this is time to be concerned.”
Enjoying Her Time
Pretty much since Vanderpump Rules started, the cast has filmed through the summer. However, this is the first time they will have the summer off and Katie Maloney is thrilled for the time off:
“It’s really nice to just have so much time to really focus on the [sandwich] shop, especially in the beginning of it all, and take like a trip maybe — just have time, really.”
Katie and Ariana Madix were finally able to open their sandwich shop, Something About Her in May 2024 after many delays. It has earned rave reviews and had lines around the block. Currently, Katie is manning the shop while Ariana is in Fiji filming Love Island USA.
