‘Doubling Down With Derricos’ Deon Confirms New Season & Details
Although the Doubling Down With Derrico family is going through major transitions, Deon Derrico has confirmed there will be a new season. Additionally, he gives some details about what to expect.
The Derricos Are Wading Through Change
The Doubling Down With Derrico family has been through some tough times lately. While the family is still moving along, Karen and Deon Derrico announced their divorce. Additionally, Deon’s mom, GG, is feeling insurmountable fatigue from her battle with cancer. Likewise, Amani faces many health concerns and the family is on edge. Undoubtedly, they are each going through major transitions with the stress and changes happening within the family. But Deon attempts to remain positive and gives fans hope for a future season.
Deon Derrico Confirms New Season
On Reddit, one fan of Doubling Down With The Derricos gave others a quick update after seeing information from Deon Derrico. The user starts a conversation by saying, “Deon confirms they are filming for a new season right now….” Then, they add, “They are currently filming a new season. It will show and talk about what happened with the divorce. It will have all the details so they can’t say much now.”
Furthermore, the information was from Deon’s Instagram. The user adds, “He confirmed all of this on his IG video of the girls doing a tribute to Amani in wishing their cousin well.” Additionally, they tease, “So stay tuned…..all will be answered in the new season, as per Deon.”
Deon Derricos Gives Details
On Deon Derrico’s Instagram page, he shows three of his girls performing as a tribute to their older cousin, Amani, who has been struggling through two liver transplants. After the first one failed, he unfortunately had to go back on the wait list but graciously received a second liver transplant within the past few weeks. During the video, Deon talks about the girls choreographing the dance and wanting to perform for Amani’s sake. All three girls are wearing matching yellow dresses and Deon introduces his “Derrico Diamonds” before they start performing. After their performance, fans got a treat about plans for the future of Doubling Down With The Derricos.
Deon Derrico follows up saying, “We’ve been through a lot, as you guys can imagine. But we’re making it. Look at these little happy faces. Our primary goal is to make sure that our children are happy and feeling heard and loved and all that good stuff. That’s both mommy and my primary goal to make sure that we keep our children filled with the love that they have grown up knowing they have had and whatnot.”
They created a GoFundMe to help with Amani’s health journey and the expenses. Furthermore, Deon Derrico adds, “Again, you guys will be able to follow along, find out what happened, how did we end up here, where are we going from here. We don’t even know, if that says anything, but you guys will be able to follow along with that as we are filming right now, our new show, new season. So Doubling Down With The Derricos continues, thank you.”
Fans Comment On The New Season
On Reddit, several fans reacted to Deon Derrico’s news that there will be another season of Doubling Down With The Derricos. Many suspect the divorce was a ploy to keep the show going.
- “This was their plan all along. To get another season.”
- “I have two theories one it’s some kind of scam but they’re trying to pull or two is he actually going to come out? I mean that’s the only speculation I can’t gather currently .”
- “Or somebody cheated. Or she got mad because all the stuff he was doing behind her back with the house and after they lost the house, she couldn’t take it no more. Or the Control and stuff.”
- Another fan responds giving Karen and Deon Derrico the benefit of the doubt. Saying, “I don’t know about the cheating but marriage and that many kids gives you a lot of reasons for divorce. Marriage alone is tough…add kids and it’s tougher…add THAT MANY kids and it’s got to be insane! At least for me it would be. I have 2 and it was tough sometimes…lol. I can’t imagine all of those kids. Some born at the same time….yikes! I think we’ve seen a little of the attitudes towards each other coming out this past season. Not a lot but more than what we saw all the past seasons.I don’t think they’re on the same page or even the same book at this point. We shall see what they bring us next season.”
