‘America’s Got Talent’ Star Plans To Keep Judging Until They Die
America’s Got Talent hasn’t changed much over the past few years. Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel have been the stable judges for a long time. Only in the fantasy season was there a change, and Sofia returned for the next regular show’s season.
One of the judges recently talked about working on the show and said they don’t plan to leave until they die.
Howie Mandel Plans To Stay On America’s Got Talent From Now On
Howie Mandel has been a judge on America’s Got Talent since 2010. He joined the show in Season 5 and is now the longest-reigning judge on the show and has worked it longer than anyone else in the American version’s history. Simon Cowell came on in Season 11, while Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum joined in Season 15.
Howie appeared on The Domenick Nati Show, and the two men talked about AGT. Howie replaced David Hasselhoff in the lineup and said he already loved the show before taking the role. Now that he is a judge on the show, he never plans on letting it go.
“It’s even better being on it because when you are in the room, and another human being you have no connection with has a hope and dream, and you are there, you watch a dream come true,” Howie said. This human connection makes him love the job, and he doesn’t want it to end.
Howie loves watching people perform and is obsessive about it. He even says he spends a lot of time watching people do things on social media, using his phone for easily over seven hours a day. He says it is fascinating to see people show up online and get tons of likes.
As for when he plans to stop America’s Got Talent, Mandel said, “I’ve told people I’m close to, once I’m dead, I’ve decided I don’t want to do it anymore.”
Howie Mandel Gives Out Latest Golden Buzzer
Howie Mandel had tons to love this week on America’s Got Talent. A young teenager named Zach appeared on the show and said he was there to dance. He then brought out a ton of other dancers and delivered a masterful performance.
Unlike anything AGT has seen, the performance was a high-energy interpretative dance routine. The group — called Brent Street — knocked it out of the park, and Howie Mandel hit the golden buzzer to send them to the live rounds.
“I don’t care what your art form is, in order to make noise, you have to be unexpected. And everything about them was unexpected,” Howie said (via PEOPLE). “It’s not just a large group of people moving their bodies in time with music… [they] add originality, add inventiveness, add new presentation, add a costume. That’s what a dance troupe should be.”
