Wendy Williams Feared For Her Life Before Guardianship?
The Wendy Williams saga has become even more distressing since the Lifetime documentary Where is Wendy Williams came out. Many of her close friends from over the years have revealed how worried they are about the former talk show host.
Here is what one of her friends recently said about their last interaction with Wendy, where she said she felt in “peril.”
Wendy Williams Reportedly Was Scared For Her Life
Wendy Williams is under guardianship, but many people feel the guardian in charge does not have her best interests at heart. Even Williams’ ex-husband said he felt that the guardians were taking advantage of Wendy and might be stealing her money.
Now, one of her closest friends has said that Williams feared for herself before the guardianship. Regina Schell, who has been friends with Wendy for over forty years, said that she spoke to Wendy before the guardianship, and Wendy said she was “in peril” from her manager.
Regina said Wendy was so scared that she was considering looking for a place in Los Angeles to escape her manager. “She told me she felt her manager was not protecting her, and she felt she was in peril,” she said (via The US Sun). This led to her publicist, Shawn Zanotti, flying to New York to get Wendy and take her to Los Angeles, which played out in the documentary.
Regina lived with Wendy in 2022 and said she always spoke to the former talk show host even after that. After they stopped living together, she said Wendy had no access to food or a support network. Regina said that Wendy accused her guardian of not bringing her food and leaving her alone in her apartment.
Then, on May 1, 2023, Regina spoke to Wendy for the last time. Wendy said she was going to lunch with her manager and that she would call her when she returned home. They have never spoken since, and Wendy has disappeared from the public eye.
Wendy Williams Facing A Myriad Of Health Problems
Wendy Williams is reportedly in a rehabilitation center, and no one can talk to her without going through her court-appointed guardian. This has many of Wendy’s friends worrying about her safety and well being.
The documentary series about Williams indicates she has frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. In the past, she struggled with Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema. Her son, Kevin Junter Jr., said in the documentary that doctors said it was because she drank too much alcohol.
Bruce Willis also suffers from Frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, but he has his family by his side helping him through it. According to Regina, Wendy WIlliams has no one, and her guardian is keeping it that way.
