Kevin Costner has recently welcomed a new baby into his family. The Yellowstone star couldn’t help but gush over the new addition during a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon. Keep reading to see what Kevin Costner revealed about the newest addition to his family.
Kevin Costner Introduces The New Addition To His Family
Costner’s “baby” is a white Labrador puppy who he affectionately calls Bob. On Tuesday, he sat down for an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He is currently on tour doing press for his upcoming movie Horizon: An American Saga. Although people were interested to hear about Horizon, it seemed like the audience couldn’t get enough information about Bob.
After a few minutes of conversation, Jimmy Fallon persuaded Kevin Costner to talk more about his new pup. He initially introduced Bob to the world on Instagram earlier this year.
“I got a buddy, his name’s Bob,” the Yellowstone actor said. The audience in the studio laughed at the dog’s name and Fallon questioned, “You named the dog Bob?”
Kevin Costner clarified that he calls the dog “Bob” when he’s upset with him. Otherwise, he is called “Bobby.” The audience was practically overrun with the cuteness overload as the late-night TV show host pulled out more photos of Bob.
A second photo of the pup showed him sleeping on the door of an open dishwasher. “He kind of waits for me to do the dishes. That’s a pretty good dog, right?” Costner shared with the audience, “I do all the work, he does everything else.” The story behind the photo was even better. Apparently, Kevin Costner had no clue that the dog was sleeping in the door of the appliance.
“I was doing the dishes, and like anything, I thought, ‘Where is he?'” he said. Assuming that he was “chewing on something” he shouldn’t have been he went searching for the dog. He ran straight into the dishwasher, where he saw the pup fast asleep.
Horizon: An American Saga Hits The Big Screen Next Week
Kevin Costner isn’t home much with Bob right now though. Currently, the award-winning actor is on a press tour for his film Horizon: An American Saga. He co-wrote, directed, and starred in the movie.
Horizon premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month and received an astounding 11-minute standing ovation. The project took Costner 30 years to complete and it will debut in theaters in four parts.
Costner’s project takes place over 15 years in the pre and post-Civil War era in the United States. The story mostly focused on the “expansion and settlement of the American West,” according to the official synopsis.
The first part will premiere on the big screen on June 28, while Chapter 2 is slated to make its debut on August 16. Release dates for the final two parts have yet to be announced.
