With Young Sheldon’s ending, there is a new spinoff from the Big Bang Theory universe coming with Sheldon’s brother and his wife. However, rumors have also been running rampant about more spinoffs directly with the main BBT cast members. However, there seems to be a divide between the various cast members about these possibilities.

Here is what you need to know about the split cast and the annoyance with the stalled franchise.

Jim Parsons & Mayim Bialik Annoyed With Big Bang Theory Cast Members

Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik returned to their roles as Sheldon and Amy for a fun scene during the Young Sheldon series finale. It was there that they revealed the show was Sheldon writing his own autobiography. It also made fans excited that they could see the original cast once again in the franchise.

There is one big problem. Not all Big Bang Theory cast members seem to want to return, which has “annoyed” Parsons and Bialik. While Sheldon and Amy were back for the Young Sheldon finale, it turns out that other OG cast members turned down the chance to appear. For anyone disappointed not to see Leonard and Penny have Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco to blame.

According to reports, neither Galecki and Cuoco were interested in reprising their roles in the Young Sheldon finale. They also don’t appear to have any plans for future spinoffs of the series as well. This is also something that has reversed the opinions of the cast members since the show ended.

Jim Parsons is the reason The Big Bang Theory was canceled, as he no longer wanted to do the show. The other cast members seemed willing to return, but Parsons shut it down. Now, Parsons intends to do more, but the other cast members have told him no.

What Changed Big Bang Theory Actors’ Minds?

Jim Parsons single-handedly ended The Big Bang Theory by saying he didn’t want to do the show anymore. However, he soon began executive producing Young Sheldon and did the voice-over for the episodes as it told Sheldon’s story from his teen years.

Parsons has been making tens of millions of dollars with the franchise thanks to Young Sheldon, and he sees the spinoffs as a way to keep making more money. Mayim Bialik also left her role on Jeopardy! and reportedly wants to find more acting roles, including returning as Amy.

However, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco are no longer as interested as they once were. Galecki returned to The Connors briefly, but he seems more interested in doing more minor roles and made enough from TBBT to do so. As for Cuoco, she has become a star with roles in The Flight Attendant and Based on a True Story. She doesn’t need The Big Bang Theory anymore.

A source said that “[Jim and Mayim] are true believers in the power and international reach of the Big Bang Theory universe, and Johnny and Kaley just feel like they have better things to do with their time” (via Closer Weekly).

What are your thoughts on Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco not wanting to return to their The Big Bang Theory roles? Do Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik have a reason to feel annoyed at this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

    1. absolutely correct. Parsons is the one who ended the show he has no one to blame but himself.

  1. Absolutely not. Jim walked away, but then stayed in the franchise. Why would Cuoco and Galecki want to help him out, when Jim cut short what likely will be the most lucrative gig they will all be a part of.

  2. I’d like to see a revival of TBBT! It’s petty of them to turn down what would definitely be a very lucrative venture to all. I hope they reconsider.

  3. As I would love to see a TBBT reunion, Jim has no one to blame but himself. I had no idea TBBT ended because of him.
