‘Doubling Down With The Derricos’ Deon & Karen DIVORCED
Deon and Karen from Doubling Down WIth the Derricos have gotten divorced. The reality TV couple had their divorce finalized, and the judge has passed out what each couple needs to pay after the divorce. Here is what you need to know about this divorce and what Deon and Karen agreed to when it comes to the settlement.
Doubling Down WIth the Derricos Divorce Finalized
Deon and Karen from Doubling Down With the Derricos have divorced. The news is not as surprising as the fact that it is already official and completed. The judge has signed off on their split, and the couple is moving on with their lives.
The couple filed for divorce on June 4, and the judgment came only two days later, on June 6. This is even more surprising since they have 13 minor children, but things ended up ending amicably. The divorce judgment splits the legal and physical custody of the children equally between the two parents.
The court documents (via TMZ) reveal Deon will pay Karen $1,166 a month in child support. However, Karen won’t have to pay anything as she will bear the responsibility for keeping up the kids’ medical insurance. Also, with the divorce, Karen will keep the “Derrico” last name, and she said she doesn’t need her maiden name restored. The judge agreed with this request.
This divorce came as the Derrico couple watched their relationship sever in the past few weeks. In one specific episode, they even argued over the chaotic state of their home.
What Happened To The Derricos?
Doubling Down With The Derricos tells the story of Deion and Karen Derrico as they raise their 14 children, including quintuplets, triplets, and twins, as well as solo pregnancies. The couple raised their kids in Las Vegas. Their oldest, Darian, is 18 years old, so she isn’t part of the divorce filing.
Doubling Down With The Derricos has aired on TLC since 2020. Their minor children include Derrick (13), Dallas and Denver (12-year-old twins), Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko, and Dariz (10-year-old quintuplets), Diez and Dior (6), and Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver (4-year-old triplets).
The divorce news hit just two weeks before the Doubling Down With The Derricos Season 5 finale on TLC. That will air on July 2, and fans might tune in to see if there are any clues that this shocking and quick divorce was coming. This season, the series promoted that Derrico’s search for a home has been a “forever process,” and it has put a strain on their marriage.
