‘Bachelorette’ Katie Thurston Says She’s ‘Off The Market’
Katie Thurston, the charismatic star of Season 17 of The Bachelorette, recently revealed that she’s “off the market” and has a new boyfriend. But who is the lucky guy, and what do we know about their budding relationship?
A New Chapter For Katie Thurston
Katie Thurston is more than just a reality star. She’s been carving a place in the comedy world. The former banker moved from San Diego to Los Angeles to put all of her efforts into getting her career as a comedian started.
But she hasn’t forgotten her reality TV roots. She recently spilled on an Instagram Q&A that she’s trying to sell a reality show to the networks, though she didn’t say if the project was a dating show or another genre.
Katie Thurston also has dreams in Hollywood and hopes to start a podcast soon. When does she find time to date?
Well, it turns out that she doesn’t because she’s “off the market.”
The Mysterious New Boyfriend
Since her time on The Bachelorette, Katie has been open about her dating life, including her engagement to Blake Moynes and subsequent breakup. She’s also pursued a romance with John Hersey, a contestant from her season, but they confirmed their split in June 2022.
She went on to seek love on the CW reality show FBoy Island. She briefly dated Vince Xu after meeting on the show. Katie has been less vocal about her dating life since then, but was linked to comic Michael Lenoci.
During a recent podcast appearance, the former Bachelorette spilled that she’s “seeing somebody.” She added that she’s in the “honeymoon phase” with her new beau.
While Katie is clearly smitten with her new man, she’s playing coy about his identity. She’s “happily snatched up” but isn’t ready to share his name just yet. What’s she waiting for? The trial period to end.
She told the podcast hosts, “I have this 90-day trial that I always talk about. We’re within that 90-day trial,” She added, “I’m very confident we’re going to exceed that.” (Via Us Weekly.)
Despite taking it slow, Katie Thurston confessed to slipping up and saying those three little words when she was drunk. She did drop one hint about her new boyfriend, noting that he is “also a public person.”
