As fans are catching up on the life of the rich and famous family in the TV series, their story is building in the real world. With North West having a leading role in a recent Disney iconic event, there is talk that Kim Kardashian may have scored the role for North.
North West Performs In Iconic Disney Role
Not long ago, The Kardashians community got wind of an exciting opportunity for North West. She was selected to participate in Disney‘s The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl. During the exciting event, there were performances by Jason Weaver, Billy Eichner, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, Heather Headley, and Jennifer Hudson. Undeniably, it is an honor to be part of Disney’s celebration of The Lion King’s 30th anniversary. Likewise, it is seemingly on brand for the budding star to want to take the stage. However, some people say Kim Kardashian, not her daughter, won the role.

Critics Blast Kim Kardashian’s Daughter, North West
Some critics of The Kardashians star, North West’s performance say that the young Kardashian didn’t earn the role alone. Several TikTok videos circulating express the disappointment that North was cast as Simba in the big Disney event. While she looks cute in her costume, some think she was giving “school play vibes” rather than a Broadway professional on the stage. Loving the limelight, North belts out a spirited version of “I Just Can’t Wait to be King.” After her performance, many viewers took to social media to blast North’s presentation, many claiming nepotism landed the role, not North. On TikTok, one mom, Jenny Matthews, asserts that Kim Kardashian pulled some strings to get North the role.

During one TikTok video, Jenny Matthews says her daughter had been through four callbacks and was down to the last four competitors for the role. Then, they were notified that another auditioner would be seen. Surprisingly, it was Kim Kardashian bringing in North West to audition for the role. Notably, Jenny says her daughter has been on Broadway four times in the past and was eagerly competing to win the role of Simba for the anniversary performance. Before Kim and North appeared, Jenny says they had heard that someone in the industry was pulling strings to get their daughter an audition. Sadly, she says she was even more disappointed because the director had originally said they were looking for an experienced but off-the-radar kid to uplift in the event. Allegedly, Kim paid for her daughter to get the role ahead of the other four kids auditioning.

He talks about her not bringing sheet music and it being unprofessional. As his video continues, he makes some suspicious claims about the selection she performed and Gypsy Rose Blanchard representing North. But some people believe there may be some truth to his satirical recount.
