Lisa Vanderpump Slammed For Not Supporting Ariana & Katie’s Shop

Lisa Vanderpump is being slammed for not supporting Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s new sandwich shop. They finally opened Something About Her on May 22nd after a long delay and several hiccups. Yet, it seems that LVP did not care to acknowledge the big day. Keep reading to see what fans are saying about the snub.

Lisa Vanderpump Slammed For Not Supporting Ariana & Katie’s Shop

In Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, Katie Maloney told Ariana Madix that she had always wanted to open a sandwich shop. She knew her then-husband, Tom Schwartz was not going to be a part of it as he had two other bar restaurants he was working on. Then, Ariana said she would be her partner so they started to look at venues and eventually found one. They did their first big sandwich tasting at the end of Season 10 but by Season 11, things were a mess and they had to rip the place apart. It seemed like Something About Her would never open.

On May 22nd, 2024, they had their grand opening with a soft launch the week prior. Friends like Kristen Doute, Andy Cohen, and Stassi Schroeder stopped in. Yet, no current co-stars said or did anything. On the day of their grand opening, Katie and Ariana didn’t receive any love from the cast except for Katie’s ex-husband, Tom Schwartz. Fans were shocked that Lisa Vanderpump said and did absolutely nothing to support the women. After seeing that she did not even send flowers or mention them on social media, they headed to Twitter/X.

There was some talk of how LVP would support the male cast regardless of their behavior. However, when it comes to the women, she sees them as less than:

Lisa is successful at business and that is to be admired. It’s obvious she hasn’t supported Katie & Ariana like she supported the the Toms and James. James at least is thriving but the Toms are crashing and starting to burn. My respect & Loves for Lisa has lessened.

One person even suggested that Lisa Vanderpump was secretly angry with Ariana for holding up filming Season 12 due to her obligations.

LVP Weighs In

Lisa Vanderpump did an interview where she was asked why she was not around for the Something About Her opening. She explained that she had been out of town and traveling around doing promotions. Furthermore, she was giving Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix a few weeks to iron out the kinks before she gave them a true assessment.

That still does not mean she cannot be supportive of them from afar. In the end, the shop had a line around the block during its first few days and seemed to be doing great.
