Chris Pratt Shares Devastating Death Of ‘Friend’
Whenever one loses a friend, it is very hard to come to terms with the idea that this person is gone. Or, that they will never see them again. Chris Pratt has worked on numerous television shows and movies, making countless friends along the way. Since some of his movies require extreme physical activity, he will occasionally have a stuntperson, not that he is not in amazing shape. One of them was Tony McFarr who worked with Chris on a handful of films, including Jurassic Park. Sadly, Tony passed away on Monday, May 13th at his home in Florida.
According to TMZ, Tony’s mother, Donna broke the news on Thursday, May 16th. She deemed the passing “unexpected and shocking” as he was always very healthy and active. Tests are being run to see if anything was in Tony’s system to have caused this. After learning about his passing, Chris immediately took to his Instagram stories to post a tribute to his former stuntman and good friend.
Chris Pratt wrote this:
“Devastated to hear about the loss of my friend and former stunt double Tony McFarr. We did several movies together. We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set. He was always a gentleman and professional. He’ll be missed. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter.”
He also acknowledged how Tony had hurt himself pretty badly on one set but he did not let that stop him from working. Rather, he got some staples in his head and was back at it in the blink of an eye. His other credits included Homeland, Teen Wolf, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1, Furious 7, Captain America: Civil War, The Accountant, and Allegiant.
Other Ventures
Tony McFarr was not just a stellar stuntman but he was also a restauranteur. More so, he had opened eateries in Orlando combining a love for poke and salad with the movie industry. Aside from Chris Pratt and many celebrity friends, Tony leaves behind his daughter, mother, father, and sister. They are planning to celebrate his life in the upcoming weeks and the goal is for him to be buried in Pennsylvania near his grandma. This is devastating for all who knew and loved him.
May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing to all who were graced with what seems like an amazing presence.
