‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ Brandon Rogers Talks Reba & Joy Drama
Farmer Wants A Wife Season 2 cast member Brandon Rogers recently dished on some behind-the-scenes tea, including the drama between Joy Mayfield and Reba Wood. So, what did Brandon have to say about everything that went down?
Farmer Wants A Wife: Brandon Rogers Had His Hands Full This Season
It’s hard enough to live on and run a successful farm. It’s a lifestyle that not everyone is suited for. When it comes to Brandon Rogers and his future, he, along with the other farmers, had to figure out if they could find love with someone long-term.
For many farmers like Brandon Rogers, living in an isolated area while trying to run a farm means there isn’t a lot of time and energy to devote to his dating life. So, that’s where Farmer Wants A Wife came in. In theory, the show did a lot of the legwork for the farmers by providing them with a pool of marriage hopefuls to choose from. However, as fans have seen all season long, there’s a lot more that goes into the show than meets the eye.
Joy Mayfield And Reba Wood Got Into It
Brandon Rogers is soft-spoken. He is someone who chooses his words carefully before he speaks. In addition, he is used to living a lifestyle of isolation. However, Brandon had to contend with two different firecracker personalities in Joy Mayfield and Reba Wood.
When you have two strong personalities occupying the same space long enough, there is bound to be a clash. When it came to Brandon Rogers and his storyline, things got petty between Joy Mayfield and Reba Wood. Both women are the type to not back down. Certainly, this was the recipe for a lot of drama, and it was a goldmine for Fox to exploit in scenes as well.
Farmer Wants A Wife: Brandon Rogers Addresses Reba And Joy Drama
Brandon Rogers said there was a lot of he said, she said going on. For him, it was a “constant battle” trying to decipher what was true and what was someone trying to throw the other women under the bus. Rogers admitted that Reba is a genuine “spitfire.” However, he also added that she can be a very “sweet” person, which viewers didn’t get to see much of.
The way Brandon Rogers sees it, production “hyped” the drama between Reba and Joy for TV. Rogers said that in her own way, Reba was likely trying to save him from Joy and her “fakeness.” Brandon went on to say that there was one incident in the house where things got “hostile” between Joy and Reba. However, other than that bump in the road, everything else was “relatively smooth.”
Through it all, Brandon Rogers doesn’t fault Reba for “voicing her opinion” the way she did, as her abrasive nature is very much a part of who she is. In the end, both Joy and Reba went home, leaving Brandon to choose between Emerson Sears and Grace Girard.
