Khloe Kardashian Recalls Doctor’s Offer To Keep Son Indefinitely
Khloe Kardashian is recalling a doctor’s offer to keep her son, Tatum, indefinitely. She had a surrogate for her second child with Tristan Thompson but it was not an ideal situation. Now, the mother of two is opening up about a sweet doctor who tried to save the day. Keep reading for all of the details.
Khloe Kardashian Recalls Doctor’s Offer To Keep Son Indefinitely
When Khloe Kardashian was ready to pop with her first child, daughter True, she learned Tristan Thompson had been unfaithful. Still, she allowed him in the delivery room and they welcomed their little girl. She then went back and forth about what to do and if she wanted to be with him again. Khloe did know that she wanted to have more children and then she and Tristan reconnected. They opted to use a surrogate but at the same time they implanted the embryo, something crushing happened.
Tristan got someone else pregnant and that broke Khloe’s heart. As documented on The Kardashians, Khloe was not connected to this new baby. A lot had to do with her anger toward Tristan and the fact that a surrogate was carrying it. When the baby was born, she admitted she was disconnected though Tristan showed up. That was when a doctor offered to take their son, Tatum as long as Khloe needed her to so she could collect herself. According to People, Khloe detailed the situation on the May 7th episode of the SHE MD podcast with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney.

Khloe Kardashian had a hard time with all aspects, including name selection because:
“I wasn’t carrying him, I didn’t really feel anything.”
She went on to add:
“And then the first week of December, I found out that my ex was actually having a baby with somebody else. And I never told my family I did the transfer. I wasn’t going to tell anyone until it took, because I wanted to surprise everyone. So no one knew.”
Tatum was ready to come into the world before Khloe was ready and that freaked her out, not able to handle this:
“And so I go, ‘No, we can’t do this.’ And [Dr. A’s] like, ‘No, there’s no fluid in the sac. We need to do this.’ And I go, ‘I’m having a weekend. I’m having a weekend with True.’ And she goes, this is the Mother Theresa, she goes, ‘Okay,’ because I started hysterically crying because it wasn’t even about the weekend, it was about now this is real. She goes, ‘You know what?’ I’ll deliver the baby. I’ll take the baby and you let me know when you’re ready to pick him up.’ And I was like, ‘What?’ I’m like, ‘Who does this? Who even offers that?’ And she did. And I remember I was like to myself, ‘Khloé, snap out of it. This is life. We got to do this.'”
Snap Back To Reality
Khloe Kardashian was there for the birth of Tatum, which was a part of her family’s reality series. She also gathered her sister, Kim Kardashian who also had children via surrogate. Though it took a lot longer than with True, Khloe can firmly say that she adores her son beyond words. Yet, she wants other women to know that this can happen, surrogacy is a blessing, and no one can say what is right or wrong in the process. Luckily, Khloe had someone who was right there to ease her mind and say she had time to process this if need be.
