‘MAFS’ When Will Season 18 Officially Air?

Married at First Sight: Pastor Calvin Roberson

Lifetime officially dropped the trailer for Married at First Sight Season 18. This leaves many fans curious about when the new season is going to officially premiere. So, what do we know so far about the next installment of this long-running franchise?

Married At First Sight: Season 17 In Denver Was The Worst Yet

The upcoming Married at First Sight season, featuring a return to the city of Chicago, will be following up the worst season in the franchise so far. Hands down, viewers and cast members agree that Season 17 is the worst season that the network has produced.

The Married at First Sight franchise is no stranger to doing things like casting people who eventually become the season’s villain. There’s typically at least one of those with every new season. However, the Denver season was a dumpster fire all around.

MAFS: Season 18 In Chicago Has A Lot To Prove

Not only were there no successful marriages to speak of in Season 17, but, Michael Shiakallis struck out with not just one, but two matches. Add to this all the scamming claims that came out from this season’s cast, and you easily have the formula for the worst season in franchise history so far.

Married at First Sight fans have been calling out the franchise for the last few years for churning out more seasons and sacrificing quality as a result. Many people get on the show for clout, and get on the show for their 15 minutes in the spotlight.

It used to be that Married at First Sight cast members who participated in the experiment genuinely wanted to get married, and were genuinely looking for love. The way viewers see it, the franchise needs to get back to what made it successful in the first place.

Married At First Sight: When Will Season 18 Premiere?

The teaser for Married at First Sight Season 18 recently dropped. This leaves many fans wondering when the new season will officially premiere. So far, there has been no official word from Lifetime regarding a premiere date at the time of this writing. However, we can look to some clues from the past to predict a potential release date.

Last season, Lifetime dropped the Season 17 trailer on September 26, with the season premiere not airing until October 18. If the network follows a similar formula, that could mean they wait three to four weeks after dropping the teaser trailer to officially release the season.

If we follow that logic, with the Married at First Sight Season 18 teaser coming out last week, the new season could potentially premiere in the next 2-3 weeks. One way or another, many viewers can’t wait to put Season 17 in the rearview officially, and the Season 18 premiere would be a great way to do that.

Typically, there are also specials leading up to the official season premiere. So, those will be worth looking out for as well, ahead of the first official Season 18 episode.
