Vanessa Lachey Shares Feelings On ‘NCIS: Hawaii’ Cancellation
NCIS: Hawaii is not getting a fourth season. Naturally, fans of the female-led series are angry. But star Vanessa Lachey feels incredibly upset about the news.
The Love Is Blind hostess expressed her grief on social media and explained that she was still processing the news. Read on and see what she had to say on the subject.
Vanessa Lachey Address The Cancellation Of NCIS: Hawaii
Popular shows are canceled by networks each and every year. The original NCIS is incredibly popular. Since it’s now in its 21st Season, many viewers had hope that the spin-off NCIS: Hawaii would have some longevity too.
Amid the news of the show’s cancellation, the cast and crew are voicing their sorrows online. Actress Vanessa Lachey is among them.
“Gutted, confused, blindsided. Grateful, confident, beloved fans!” Vanessa expressed her grief and outrage on social media. She attached the NCIS: Hawaii insignia on her Instagram story. “Processing this news and still being present with my family. I Love You all! Mahalo Nui Loa.”
It seems the actress thought the show would have quite a bit more life left in it. Even just two weeks ago, Vanessa shared how much she loved her job on Instagram.
“‘Lachey made history’… this took my breath away this morning,” she shared online, attaching a screenshot of a PEOPLE article. “Mahalo to CBS & Paramount for believing in me and this ground breaking show. Here’s to all the incredible People along the way who continue to make it happen! I Love my job!!! 🤙🏽❤️💪🏽”

“No one will ever know how much of yourself you’ve given to Jane Tennant. No one will ever understand how much this has become a part of you. I am so incredibly proud of you babe. You’re a badass on camera and off!!” Vanessa’s husband Nick Lachey wrote in the comments.
NCIS: Hawaii Reportedly Had More Stories To Tell
According to Deadline, Vanessa Lachey wasn’t the only one completely caught off guard by the heartbreaking news. Writers apparently intended the show to keep going. It seems that Season 3 will end with some loose ends. The show planned to address those in Season 4, but now fans will never know what became of their favorite characters. Deadline reports that fans shouldn’t expect any major cliffhangers, though.
“With strong multi-platform performance, as NCIS: Hawai’i ranked above several CBS dramas that have been renewed, including FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International and S.W.A.T., it likely came down to money,” the publication shares as the most likely reason behind the network’s unfortunate decision.
