Jax Taylor Prepares For Potential Showdown With Lisa Vanderpump
Jax Taylor is preparing himself for a potential showdown with his former boss and co-star, Lisa Vanderpump. The Valley star is returning to Vanderpump Rules for the second time in Season 11. This time, he will come face-to-face with LVP but how will it go down? Keep reading for more details.
Jax Taylor Prepares For Potential Showdown With Lisa Vanderpump
It has been a few seasons since Jax Taylor exited Vanderpump Rules along with his now estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. He faded out until ‘Scandoval’ occurred in Season 10 and then resurfaced with a new podcast When Reality Hits. He also had a three-episode Peacock show with Brittany and then it was announced that the Pump Rules spinoff was finally coming to fruition. It was originally supposed to happen in 2020 but Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder were both fired. Now, it would feature Jax, Brittany, and Kristen along with their friends who were in their new circle.
To make the transition easier, Jax returned to Pump Rules for a guy’s night out with the male cast. The Valley then began right after and now, several episodes in, Jax is coming back to his old stomping grounds. He will be working alongside James Kennedy for a special brunch at SUR. Yet, Jax knows he needs to meet up with Lisa Vanderpump before he can proceed. The problem is he did not leave on the best of terms as he referred to Vanderpump Rules as “his show” prior to his exit.
According to Bravo, Jax Taylor has this to say to James about seeing LVP:
“I don’t even know what I’m about to get into. I don’t know what my relationship is with Lisa right now.”
James believes respect was broken and now he must get that back. Jax shares he is open to mending fences but he has his limits:
“I’m not going to bow down to her because you own a few restaurants in Hollywood. Come on.”
That is when James tells Jax to bring LVP something nice like flowers and he notes he will be the bigger person at the meeting.
Where They Stand
Back in 2023, Jax Taylor was asked where he and Lisa Vanderpump stood. He had this to say about their relationship:
“Everything’s good. We had some unresolved issues. We kind of lost contact a little bit during the pandemic and everything … But everything’s OK now. Everything looks good.”
The one thing that LVP always said about Jax was that he had been very good to her. She even made it so that she could attend his wedding to Brittany Cartwright in 2019. It did not seem like she would be able to make it as her mother had just passed away. However, the funeral had been postponed so she was able to contact Randall Emmett, who was flying to the wedding via private jet. Jax and LVP have an amazing past so hopefully, that will translate to a friendly future.
