Bachelor Nation veteran, Nick Viall didn’t communicate directly about Golden Bachelor stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s split this week, but as he talked about the ABC show creating “strong emotions,” he’s probably not shocked. Keep reading to see what he has to say.

Nick Viall Never Found The One In The Bachelor Franchise

The former Bachelor lead started on the ABC franchise looking for love with Andi Dorfman on The Bachelorette. Additionally, he looked for love in Bachelor in Paradise. He also tried to find love again on The Bachelorette with Kaitlyn Bristowe. The Bachelor Nation star also got engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi in The Bachelor, but it also didn’t work out.

Nick didn’t find love on the show. He eventually hooked up with Natalie Joy and recently, they welcomed their first child together. Happy in love now, it took him a long time to realize that finding lasting love on a dating show isn’t easy. Notably, Natalie Joy wasn’t on the ABC franchise, she slid into his DMs. However, what Nick had to say on Friday seemed pertinent to Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist who announced their divorce on the same day the New York Post published an article about ABC creating “strong emotions.”

‘Strong Emotions’ Doesn’t Mean ‘Emotional Connection’

The former Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise star told the outlet:

The Bachelor taught me that, sometimes feeling in love doesn’t always necessarily mean you are in love. That is a show that obviously is a very controlled environment. It’s designed to elicit very strong emotions. [And,] strong emotions are different from an emotional connection. It really takes time to build an emotional connection, something that the reality shows don’t offer.

It’s a pity in a way, that Golden Bachelor stars Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner didn’t hear Nick Viall’s message about the difference between emotions and and emotional connections. Perhaps, they might have waited before rushing to tie the knot in January. While a lot of Bachelor Nation fans seem shocked about the divorce, if you apply NIck’s theory to it, it seems less surprising that their relationship didn’t work out.

The new report about Nick came after he landed a new role as a matchmaker on Patti Stanger: The Matchmaker, which premiered on the CW on April 11.

What are your thoughts on Nick Viall realizing that just because the ABC show produces a scenario where strong emotions are bound to happen, doesn’t mean that the contestants actually make a strong emotional connection? Do you think that’s what happened with Golden Bachelor stars., Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist?
