Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist’s Decision To Divorce
On Friday morning, Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist appeared on Good Morning America to announce they are divorcing. They fell in love on the show and were quick to get married on live television in January. It’s only been three months since their big wedding event but they are calling it quits.
In the interview, Gerry said, “Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations and we’ve looked closely at our living situation. We’ve come to the decision mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage.”
It was reported earlier this month that the two have yet to move in together. Originally they talked about moving to South Carolina. He even considered New Jersey, which is where Theresa lives. However, neither of them wanted to move away from their families.
Theresa and Gerry both denied that any of the rumors that floated around the internet played any part in their decision to end their marriage. It was more of a logistics issue than everything else. They said it was the dedication to their families that guided their decision to live apart.
Gerry said, “I think we just feel like it’s best for the happiness of each of us to live apart.”
In fact, the former couple proclaimed their love for each other during the interview. They also held hands tightly through it all.
Will They Look For Love Again?
Now, that they are both single, will Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist look for love again? The answer is yes. Gerry said they definitely would look for love again. Theresa said, “Yes, and we tell everyone else to continue to look for love.”
The couple made an impact on Bachelor Nation and Gerry’s premiere season had fans falling for the franchise again.
The show will be filming a Golden Bachelorette season this summer. So far her identity has not been released.
