Clue 80’s Rock Band ‘Twisted Sister’ Headed Back To Stage?

There are heavy rumors that Twisted Sister might make a return to the stage. While this is a huge surprise to anyone who follows the band, some hints dropped that indicate the band might be preparing for a reunion of sorts.

Here is what has Twisted Sister fans believing the band might be coming back.

Twisted Sister Hints At Return To Stage

For anyone who follows Dee Snider, 69, and his band, Twisted Sister, there might be shocking news about a return to the stage. This is surprising. Snider has said for a long time that the band will not reunite. He has also said in interviews that he won’t be like Alice Cooper, 76, and keep performing in his later years. However, some fans think it might happen anyway.

When Twisted Sister retired in 2016, he said they were finished as a band. Snider said he was a “man of my word” at the time. However, Motley Crue also retired. The Crue even had a contract to guarantee they would never reunite. They are back together again years later on a new tour. Snider has plenty to do, as he hosts a syndicated radio show and also performs his own solo stuff.

However, the clues are starting to line up that might see Twisted Sister back together again.

Dee Snider Says There Is A Demand For Twisted Sister

While Dee Snider said he is a man of his word, and he said he won’t be out there performing into his 70s, he might change his mind for money. In a more recent interview with the Hook Rocks podcast, he said that there are a lot of offers coming in with people wanting to bring in Twisted Sister for shows.

“As a result of all the bands retiring and dying, the offers get bigger and bigger for the holdouts to come back,” Dee said. He mentioned the band has been retired for eight years. However, he then dropped one line that has many fans excited. “At some point, you’ve gotta say, “Well how can I say no to that?”

Dee also said he has reached out to other band members about the possibility if they get an offer too generous to say no to. Since Twisted Sister retired, Dee has made two solo albums — For the Love of Metal 2018 and Leave a Scar. He also released a Broadway album with several rock versions of Broadway songs. Now, it might be time for Twisted Sister to return.

Twisted Sister is best known for their anthem hits “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock.” They played together from 1972 until their retirement in 2016.
