When Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani fell in love, many of their fans wondered how they would blend their lives together. Not only do they come from different genres of music, but, they also come from different walks of life.
While Blake Shelton is comfortable kicking back on his ranch in Oklahoma, Gwen Stefani prefers the glitz, glam, and bright lights of cities like Los Angeles. Somehow, just like these two have blended their styles of music into their handful of duets, they’ve also managed to integrate their lives into one cohesive family unit, and their fans love to see it.
Blake Shelton Has Stepped Up As A Father Figure
Blake Shelton has been married multiple times. However, he doesn’t currently have any biological children of his own. Since meeting and marrying Gwen Stefani, Blake has stepped up as a father figure to the three children she shares with Bush frontman, Gavin Rossdale.
Blending families is always a tricky thing, especially when there are kids and exes involved. When you consider how things ended between Gwen and Gavin, with a cheating scandal that broke their home, it adds even more drama to the situation.
Through it all, Blake has stepped up to the plate in a big way, and he has become a big part of not just Gwen’s life, but her children’s lives as well.
Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Want To Expand Their Family, But There’s A Problem
After succeeding at being a stepdad for years, Blake and Gwen want to expand their family. This would also give Blake the chance to have his own biological child to carry on his legacy. While that’s certainly a good idea, the baby-making plans for Gwen and Blake are at a standstill.
Blake and Gwen have opted to go the surrogate route to make their dreams of expanding their family a reality. Unfortunately, according to an inside source, there’s a wrench in their surrogacy plans.
Speaking to Life & Style, an inside source said: “Gwen and Blake have been wanting a baby of their own for years now.” The source went on to add: “They’ve had surrogates on board, but something always seems to fall through at the last minute. It’s been a struggle.”
They’ve hit more than a few bumps in the road on their surrogacy journey. Even so, the ups and downs of this have also “brought them closer together,” according to the source. So, if they keep at it like they are, it may not be long before there’s a Blake Jr. running around with them on their Oklahoma ranch.
