There was a feeding frenzy when it was first reported Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were having marital problems. The media, both traditional media and social media, as well as their fans, have been eating it up with two spoons. Many of their fans are worried the couple won’t last. They believe the couple are not spending enough time together. Despite that, both Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani manage to find enough time together to promote whatever they happen to be doing at the time. This begs the question: Is it all about promotion?
Look At Their Latest Photos
Take a look at their most recent photos. One shows Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani holding a single purple iris in their teeth. It also shows each of them holding purple irises. Another is of the couple, in silhouette, in front of some stained glass.
Despite the social media comments declaring them “the cutest couple,” there is nothing cute about the photos. There is certainly nothing romantic about them. It is more than obvious these are photos being used to promote their latest duet, “Purple Irises.” Look closely at the stained glass in their silhouetted photo. Purple flowers, possibly purple irises, can clearly be seen in the background.

Both Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are wearing the same clothes they wore in the video for “Purple Irises.” The same couch in the most recent photos is the same couch in the video. Even the stained glass where the couple appears in silhouette is the same.
The recently posted photos are not new photos. They are not even candid shots of a couple in love. They are photos taken when the video of “Purple Irises” was shot. These photos are promotional shots for their latest duet.

Blake Shelton is on his Back To The Honky-Tonk tour. Gwen Stefani, somehow, manages to show up once in a while to sing with her husband. Of course, they sing “Purple Irises.” The media goes wild, writing how she took time away from her band, No Doubt, and their hard work getting ready for Coachella. What a way to promote to herself and her appearance at Coachella with No Doubt!

Of course, there are all the mentions of Gwen Stefani’s new make-up line when the press is speculating about the state of their marriage. Blake Shelton gets free publicity too. His television show is often mentioned. The new bar he is promoting really left out as well.
