‘WCTH’: Is ‘OTH’ Alum Robert Buckley Coming To Hope Valley?
One Tree Hill alum Robert Buckley is a Hallmark fan favorite. He is currently starring in the upcoming Blind Date Book Club. His co-star is none other than WCTH star Erin Krakow. This promises to be an old fashioned romcom that is reminiscent of the classic romcom You’ve Got Mail.
The OTH alum is well-known in the Hallmark world. A few years back, he swooped in and freshened up the hit series Chesapeake Shores. His family’s over-the-top Christmas decoration obsession was the basis for The Christmas House.
However, now he has his sights on Hope Valley. Could Robert Buckley join When Calls The Heart? Here is what he has to say.
Is Robert Buckley Joining WCTH?
On Friday, Robert Buckley spoke to TV Insider about his latest Hallmark movie with WCTH star Erin Krakow. This movie is called Blind Date Book Club, and the pair filmed this Spring Into Love movie in January.
When they weren’t filming, he revealed that he shared some ideas for When Calls The Heart to Erin, who is not only an actor in the series, but also an executive producer. Admitting that he is “shameless,” he said he told her “Okay, obviously, I need to join When Calls The Heart, so what’s the role? Am I an inventor?”
This went on through the entire filming process. “It sort of became this game every now and then I would just, apropos of nothing, start pitching her a character that I could play on the show.”
However, he admits, “We never quite landed on one that worked, but it’s probably because I was pitching things like a bad boy inventor.”

Robert Buckley Thinks WCTH Will Last Long
Will Robert Buckley be striding into Hope Valley anytime soon? He did not indicate whether or not he struck a deal to join the series. He certainly could be the new guy to come in and sweep Elizabeth off her feet. This choice could cool down the divided Hearties who are fighting over the love triangle which also includes Lucas and Nathan. But for now, he is not set to join this Hallmark series.
But, he told the interviewer that he believes WCTH will last another 10-12 more years. Could he find an opportunity to join this hit series? Why not?
Meanwhile, Buckley has been filming a holiday movie that seems likely for Hallmark.
