Ryan Seacrest Hopes Fans Still Watch Wheel Of Fortune
When Pat Sajak announced he would be retiring after Season 41, fans were wondering who would be taking over Wheel of Fortune. There were a few names in the running and then host extraordinaire, Ryan Seacrest was named the new host. He seemed like the perfect fit and then it came out that Vanna White would be sticking around through 2026. Therefore, viewers would have some familiarity during the transition. On April 5th, 2024, Pat filmed his final episode which will air in June 2024, and the reins will be handed over to Ryan.
It is unclear how the transition will happen but it will be interesting nonetheless. At the same time, Ryan is hopeful faithful fans won’t turn off the television simply because Pat Sajak has exited. He spoke with People and shared his thoughts about this new chapter.
“Well, no one can ever do what Pat has done. He is incredible. He has made that show just something so very special for so long, and he has done such a seamless, remarkable job, so no one can be him. So do I feel pressure? Sure. People love watching him. I want them to keep love watching it, and I hope to do a great job as well.”
Ryan Seacrest’s Wheel of Fortune episodes will start airing in September 2024. More so, he admits that he is a huge fan of the show. He has watched it both as a child and as an adult not knowing one day he would be the face of it.

Ryan is also excited to work with Vanna White when he starts the gig:
“I think that this is a show that means so much to a lot of people. It’s a part of their lives, they like to get together at the end of the day and try and solve the puzzles. And for me, it’s a chance to give away cash and prizes and work with the legendary Vanna White.”
Bye, Pat
Viewers have been ready for Pat Sajak to depart for some time. They feel that he has become slightly cruel and rude as time has gone by. It has also been alleged that his co-workers are happy to see him leave. So much so that they did not even plan a goodbye party or anything like that. However, when the day actually came, this may have proven to be false. It will be fun to see how the show shifts when Ryan Seacrest takes the lead.
