Dean McDermott Deletes Marriage Reference From Social Media
Dean McDermott did not waste any time acknowledging the fact his estranged wife, Tori Spelling, had filed for divorce. The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star filed for divorce only yesterday, March 29th. It took Dean McDermott less than 24 hours to remove the references to his marriage and Tori Spelling from his Instagram account.
Tori Spelling Files For Divorce
Tori Spelling, after the almost-year-long separation, finally filed for divorce yesterday. In the divorce documents the court received, the former child star cited “irreconcilable differences.” She made clear the difficulties the two had in their marriage were beyond repair.
The divorce was filed after 18 years of marriage. It has been previously reported Tori Spelling was unhappy for several years before she and McDermott separated. From all accounts, the couple had tried to stay together, to make it work, for the five children they share together.
Dean McDermott Is In A Better Place
The divorce only happened after it had been reported Dean McDermott was, finally, in a better place. He claims he is now “clean and sober.” McDermott gives credit to both Tori Spelling and his current girlfriend for helping him with his sobriety. It has been reported Dean McDermott is currently living in a men’s group facility for those suffering from addiction.
Dean McDermott is the not the only one who is in a better place. Tori Spelling is as well. She has the support of two lifelong friends, Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars Jennie Garth and Ian Ziering. Both have publicly stated they will stand beside Tori Spelling during the divorce.
Their Five Children
Dean McDermott has five children with Tori Spelling. They are Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7. Their children have been living with Tori Spelling since their separation last June.
In her divorce from Dean McDermott, Tori Spelling is seeking sole physical custody. She is also wanting to have joint legal custody with her estranged husband. Tori Spelling is willing to allow McDermott visitation. This is despite his current living arrangements.
Dean McDermott On Instagram
The fact Tori Spelling has filed for divorce is evident in the Instagram account Dean McDermott uses. The first line of his bio on Instagram has changed. He removed the line “Married to the love of my life @torispelling ❤️.” It is appears the end of the marriage is now “social media official.”
Dean McDermott has made other changes to the bio he uses on Instagram. It now includes “Breathwork Specialist” and “Alcohol and Drug Counselor.” Just as before, he is still describing him as “Dad of 7, Actor, Comedian and Chef.”
