Hallmark Hunk Brennan Elliot Working On New Mystery
Hallmark Hunk Brennan Elliott has previously starred in two mystery series for the Network. Firstly, he starred in the three-episode Flower Shop Mysteries along with Brooke Shields. Next, he reunited with his frequent co-star Lacey Chabert for Crossword Mysteries. However, after five of those mysteries, Lacey has moved on to The Dancing Detective with Will Kemp.
It seemed that Brennan was without a mystery series. However, there is an update that should thrill Sleuthers. He is working on his own mystery series. Here is what we know now.

Brennan Elliott Is Working On Hallmark Mystery
Just recently, Muse Entertainment’s Joel Rice made a revelation to the Hallmark Mysteries & More Podcast about the popular Hallmark Hunk. Sharing a number of new mysteries that are going into production, including two Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, Rice revealed a bombshell.
Developing something with Brennan. That’s a mystery. That’s all I’ll say.
Podcast host Eric Rutin mentioned how Brennan had mentioned last year that he was starting to work on a mystery series. Next, Joel Rice shared, “And we love the guy. Love the guy. So he came back to the mystery world. Yeah. But front and center He’s going to. It will be him as the lead.”
To sum this up, it looks like Brennan Elliott is developing a Hallmark Mystery with Muse Entertainment. Moreover, he is going to be the lead. There is no mention that he will be dividing the leading role like Aurora Teagarden or Hannah Swensen.
As this is just in the development stage, there is very little information. Also, there is no indication that a script has been written or if they are greenlit to make a movie. Of course, nothing is official until Hallmark Media has made an official announcement.
How Many Mystery Movies Will There Be?
While there is no further information on Brennan Elliott’s Hallmark Mystery movie, there is a possibility that the network will make more than one movie. Also speaking to the Hallmark Mysteries & More Podcast, Lisa Hamilton Daly, the EVP at Hallmark Media told Eric Ruten that standalone mysteries are not as successful as mystery series that have more than one movie. Therefore, the plan is to make several movies whenever possible.
There was a good discussion as to why they are more successful. The main reason is that in a mystery, there cannot be as much character development or romance development due to the mystery elements of the movie. When there are several movies, Sleuthers get to know and love the cast of characters.
So, hopefully, if and when Brennan Elliott makes a mystery, Hallmark Mystery will make more than one.
