Fans of the Food Network show Spring Baking Championship are up in arms over scheduling issues. The new schedule that the network has set for this season will make the competition come to an end more quickly. Viewers feel like they are being rushed through the season and can’t enjoy it. Keep reading to see why people are so upset with the Food Network over the changes.

Duff Goldman Returns For Spring Baking Championship

The Spring Baking Championship follows a set of bakers who are tasked with creating a tasty treat related to the season, spring. Every episode has two rounds where they have to bake something in line with the theme.

Jesse Palmer from The Bachelor has returned as the host for the Spring Baking Championship for his second season.

Duff Goldman has returned as a judge for the series. The episodes for this season were filmed prior to Duff’s car accident, so the beloved celebrity chef is expected to be in every episode. The program is also currently judged by Kardea Brown and Nancy Fuller.

While there are many things fans loved about the series returning, the Food Network has made one change that they feel is unforgivable.

Fans Blast Food Network For Scheduling Problems

Rather than airing one episode per night, the network decided to air two episodes of the competition show. One fan took to Reddit to air their grievances. They asked, “Two episodes a night?”

“Just wondering why they’re deciding to air two new episodes a night for Spring Baking Championship?” they wrote. “Such a bummer, it feels like they’re just trying to rush through this series so they’re airing two a night. They did the same thing for Worst Cooks in America and it was such a bummer!”

Other viewers seemed to feel the same way and many felt as though the Food Network was trying to rush the season. “It makes it go by faster – I don’t care for it,” one fan commented.

Another agreed, “I think this happened with some of the baking shows last year, they aired two episodes a week for the first few weeks. My guess is they want to finish the season before the holiday season they cover is over, but it seems like a result of poor scheduling planning.”

A few people tried to come up with explanations for the bad scheduling. “One of my guesses is they used to have the show with Sunny as the host the second hour (Easter baking),” one fan wrote. “They need to fill that time slot since they are not having the Easter competition.” Another viewer theorized that it could be an issue of having too many episodes to air within a given timeframe.

Whatever the case may be, fans are not impressed with the new schedule.

Spring Baking Championship airs on Monday nights at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. EST on Food Network.
