‘Love After Lockup’ Antoine Whitaker Shot Himself?

Love After Lockup alum Antoine Whitaker has kept the drama going long after the cameras stopped rolling. The soon-to-be father of two has shot himself. So, how did he pull that one off and is he okay? Keep reading for all of the details.

Lacey Rodgers fell hard for her good friend, Kristi’s son, Antoine Whitaker, despite being a married woman. He ended up going to jail but she kept in touch with him and they fell in love. Obviously, this was very hard for Kristi but Lacey and Antoine did not care and it was all documented on Love After Lockup. There was also an age difference but the two did their best to move past it. By the end of the season, Antoine demanded they stop filming and they were done with the show. After it ended, Lacey became pregnant with their first child, a daughter while Antoine’s mother passed away.

She welcomed baby Antoinette and now, they are ready to have their second daughter together. However, according to Starcasm, there is a lot more going on in the world of Lacey and Antoine. Aside from an exciting pregnancy, Antoine was arrested back in October 2023. This follows a May 2023 arrest for drugs and possessing a firearm. Once again, he was arrested for felony charges including the firearm, drugs, DWI, and he ran away from a car wreck. This is not the first time he ran from the scene so it does not bode well for him.

After the Love After Lockup star wrecked the car, he supposedly shot himself in the leg but was still able to run away to evade the police. His thigh had an entry wound and also an exit wound.  His calf also had wounds. Police found fentanyl in his possession and, though he denied having a gun, Antoine did in fact have one. He also is not supposed to be operating a vehicle after repeated incidences but it does not stop him. His bail was requested to be set at $100K but was reduced to just $30K and he posted it in November 2023.

What’s Next?

As of now, the former Love After Lockup star is due back in court in July 2024. It is unclear how long he is facing if Antoine Whitaker is facing any prison time at all. However, he and Lacey Rodgers are on the path to their second baby though her due date is unknown. Hopefully, Antoine will be around to see his little lady be born and none of this stress will hinder the pregnancy.
