Fan favorite Maria Georgas admits that her time with Joey Graziadei ran its course. She thinks their relationship ended when it should have. She spoke with US Weekly and shared her thoughts.
Fans were upset when Maria was sent home over Rachel Nance. Many fans wanted her to stay but overall she was looking for a way out. She said, “I think, looking back, watching it has been my closure and everything played out exactly how it should have played out. I think our relationship ran its course and, yeah, it got to a point where I was pulling stunts, trying to leave and we were just all over the place.”
Remember, right before hometowns, Maria almost quit the show. After speaking with producers she settled down and decided to stay. Joey met her family and they seemed to approve of him. However, he still had a tough decision to make.
One thing about Maria is that it took her a bit to open up to Joey. In fact, it wasn’t until that rose ceremony after hometowns that she pulled him aside and said she was falling in love with him.
Does she regret it? She says, “I just think it was the right time to do it. I don’t want to look at it as a regret. I said what I said and I don’t regret it because I didn’t want to leave with any regrets and I would’ve regretted not saying it. And, maybe, it was the bad timing, but it is what it is and I’m happy how things have played out, for sure.”
Fans Really Want Maria To Be The Bachelorette
Overall, Maria Georgas has broken records as far as contestants and followers they have gained on social media. She has a huge following and many are calling for her to be The Bachelorette.
Right now, the identity of that next lead has not been announced. However, it’s reportedly already been decided. Most likely fans will hear the announcement Monday night on After the Final Rose.
According to Reality Steve, The Bachelorette is set to start airing next week.
