Kyle Richards Reveals Insecurity Amid Mauricio Cheating Rumors
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans already know that Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s marriage is in shambles. However, there are still many unknowns and secrets about their breakup.
By now, many viewers have suspected infidelity is at play here. And Mauricio’s time on Dancing With The Stars last fall definitely didn’t help the situation.
But now, Kyle is coming clean about her feelings about the rumors. In an RHOBH reunion sneak peek, fans learned that the dark whispers of infidelity really wounded Kyle.
Kyle Richards Admits The Tabloids & Rumors Sincerely Bother Her
Every marriage has its fair share of problems. But having a high-profile public marriage doesn’t make those problems easy to work through. That’s exactly what’s eating away at Kyle Richards as she navigates through her breakup with Mauricio Umansky.
At the end of the day, no one knows the marriage better than Kyle and Mauricio. But even so, the endless rumors hurt the RHOBH star and made her doubt everything. In a new sneak peek of the RHOBH reunion special as shared by PEOPLE, fans got a chance to see Kyle speak her mind.
“He would say to me, you know, we can’t care. We know the truth and you know,” Kyle admitted. “Of course, there’s always that little voice in my head like, ‘What if this is true?’ People would say these things all the time —”
“Even if they’re not true,” her sister Kathy Hilton added.
“The damage is done no matter what,” Erika Girardi piped up.
“It’s a shadow of doubt,” Kathy pointed out.
“It’s a campaign of whispers. Whispers around, and then that’s how it becomes ugly,” Erika continued.
The RHOBH Star Gets Vulnerable In The Reunion Special
During the interview, Andy Cohen pressed for more clarification and asked Kyle, “Did those rumors over the years cause you to chip away at your trust for him?”
At this point, Kyle Richards began to tear up on camera. She admitted that the rumors did bother her.
“… they made me feel insecure,” she tearfully replied. Kathy Hilton added that the wider public will always have something to say about public figures. Media outlets consistently make up stories about people like Kyle Richards, whether they are true or not. Sadly, the stories still eat away at Kyle.
“They’re trying to make you feel bad,” the 55-year-old admitted. “And it works.”
