Joey Graziadei has been on two reality shows, but fans don’t think they really know much about him. He first looked for love on Season 20 of The Bachelorette. He almost found it, but Charity Lawson chose Dotun Olubeko instead. Now Charity’s runner-up is on a journey for a second chance at love on Season 28 of The Bachelor.
He’s widdled the number of contestants from 32 to just three. Will he ask Kelsey Anderson, Rachel Nance, or Daisy Kent to be his wife? But first, the three women and Joey have to get through this week’s overnight dates.
A mysterious letter from one of the women asking to talk seems to send Joey Graziadei into a tailspin. Throughout the season, he’s had moments of self-doubt, vulnerably admitting to insecurity that he will find true love.
Joey has expressed concern that he could fall in love only to be rejected at the final rose ceremony. The trailer for the remaining episodes hints that things come to a head during the Fantasy Suite dates. “I have this feeling deep down inside once I show every part of myself people don’t fall in love with me,” Joey says during the trailer.
The comment has fueled speculation about what part of himself he is hiding.
His Uncle Warned Charity Lawson
If you go to the comment section on any social media post about The Bachelor, you will find fans complaining that they haven’t learned much about Joey Graziadei during his season. He seems to hold back from talking about himself.
But it was also something a family member picked up during Season 20. Joey’s uncle said that he didn’t think Joey was being 100% himself with Charity. The comments Joey’s uncle made resurfaced on a Reddit thread asking why Joey was “so anxious” that he would be rejected.
One Bachelor Nation fan brought up the comments Joey’s uncle made during Charity’s season. “His uncle said last season that he tends to act fake and be a people pleaser. I saw that in some of his interactions with the ladies. I think it comes from self esteem issues,” they wrote.

Could he be worried about his sexuality? His birth father is gay and that might weigh heavily on Joey’s mind, wondering if he can have feelings for both women and some men. Just a thought. He really doesn’t have a close relationship with his birth father. I know he is in therapy, and I am sure that will help him a lot. He did say he could get moody, and maybe the ‘stinking thinking’ just gets in his head and he is anxious.
