Bachelor alum Arie Luyendyk Jr. shared with his fans that he won the lottery. Did he choose the right Powerball numbers? Keep reading for all the details on his huge win.

Bachelor Show Teases Another Dramatic Conclusion

Is the conclusion of Season 28 of The Bachelor going to be nearly as dramatic as the ending of Arie Luyendy’s season? Season 22 ended in heartbreak for Becca Kufrin after Arie broke off their engagement. The season is historic in the franchise because it was the first time cameras were right there to film the breakup.

Arie then proposed to his runner-up, Lauren Burnham, at the After the Final Rose special. They recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary.

Joey Graziadei’s season has been way less dramatic so far. However, trailers for the next few weeks claim something “unprecedented” will happen. Fans are wondering if Joey Graiadei will get rejected at the final rose ceremony.

Arie Luyendyk Shares He Won Lottery

Arie Luyendyk recently took to his Instagram to share that he won the lottery. Many fans consider him to be one of the wealthiest Bachelor stars, so why is he playing the lottery?

The racecar driver didn’t win the lottery in the traditional sense, but he shared what he’d do with the money if he did. He shared a video that began, “If I won the lottery i wouldn’t tell anyone but..” The social media trend is supposed to continue with hints that someone suddenly got rich without actually saying so.

However, the video took another turn. Inside of material things, the entire video footage showed Arie’s wife, Lauren. The text continued, “Oh wait, I already did.”

IMO I’m the richest man alive,” Arie wrote in the Instagram post’s caption.

Some Fans Don’t Buy It

Arie’s social media followers swooned at the video, but not everyone was impressed. One Bachelor Nation fan took to Reddit to vent about the post. “Is it just me or is all of his posts about her over the top like trying way too hard? Screams insecure marriage to me that he always does things like this,” they griped.

The responses from other Redditors went both ways. Some agreed that the mushy post seemed fake with these comments:

  • I think the overshare is meant to attract brands. It’s content like this that leads to more income for their family.
  • It’s a tiktok trend going around, loads of people have posted similar clips
  • Ehhh idk about that but, unrelated, I can’t stand how much those two exploit their kids for content.

But here are some of the comments defending the Bachelor couple:

  • Nah, that man is just in love.
  • I actually thought it was cute. I think he’s still very much in love with her and wanted to show that off. I didn’t find anything wrong with the post or think it was OTT.
  • I’m someone who believes 99% of relationship posts come from a place of insecurity but I’ve been following Arie & Lauren for a while and I actually think he’s genuine with this.

What do you think of Arie’s video? Did he win the lottery when he chose Lauren over Becca? Sound off in the comments.
