June Shannon Critics Suspect Drug Use

Despite rehab, ever since she hooked up with Justin Stroud, WeTV fans claimed that they believe the Mama June: Family Crisis star is using something. Hopefully, that’s not true, but she probably struggled a lot as her daughter, Anna Cardwell died from stage 4 cancer. So, she possibly turned to her journaling as a tool to help her get through her days.

June Shannon took time to get over her drug use and she struggled with her family who rejected her. Mama June: Road To Redemption documented her slow acceptance after she abandoned her family. Perhaps, guilt and pain made her take to her journals as she struggled to live a life of sobriety. Did you know that she seems to have struggled with that almost her entire life?

Keeping A Journal – Sort Of

This week, People Magazine spoke with Justin Stroud’s wife about keeping a journal. In the interview, she admitted that she doesn’t keep them as often as she used to. However, when she does, she then bins them. If you are a die-hard fan of the WeTV star, it might interest you to know she writes her journals on her phone.

June Shannon told the outlet that she’s reluctant to keep the old journals, and here’s her reasoning:

I type out in my notes what was bothering me for the day. Some days I would cry about it, and then I would just erase it. If you want to journal, fine, but every day you have to tear it up. Because if you look back at that journal, you’re just going to go back in the same mindset that you were [in] during that time.

Additionally, she recommends that people keep on writing the things that bother them. But her advice is, if it’s on paper, “tear it up,” or just “delete” it off the phone. The Mama June: Family Crisis star also said, “I do it every once in a while now, but I promise you it lets so much stress just off your body…”

Dumping Or Keeping Life’s Lessons?

The Ashley Treatment Organization encourages journaling, but unlike the WeTV star, they feel it’s good to go back and review the ups and downs. Additionally, it comes with positives:

…keeping a journal is also an excellent tool for setting goals, be they life goals, recovery goals, business goals, or fitness goals. Tracking the recent past through journaling is therapeutic, but setting goals and documenting the process of achieving them is thrilling.

What are your thoughts about June Shannon writing out her journal but then trashing it? Do you think she’s doing wrong by dumping life’s lessons in the garbage? Or, can you relate to going back to an old state of mind, and it’s better to let it go?  Let us know what you think in the comments below, and come back here for all your Mama June: Family Crisis news.
