Mama June Shannon Saves Geno Doak’s Life After Suicide Attempt?
Mama June Shannon reportedly saved her ex Geno Doak’s life back in September when he tried to commit suicide by overdosing on pills and alcohol. Geno spoke to TMZ recently about his suicide attempt.

Mama June Shannon saved Geno Doak’s life
Geno Doak recently told TMZ he tried to commit suicide by taking 90 blood pressure pills followed by drinking a liter of Jägermeister. Mama June Shannon’s ex was in the comfort of his home in Florida when he attempted to take his own life. Geno did reassure the outlet he is in a much better headspace now. Mama June assisted him with the help he needed so he could get treatment.
Was their breakup why he tried to end his life?
Now, Geno Doak tells TMZ there were a lot of things going on that had him feeling down in the dumps. He explained that he had been miserable for an extended period of time when he tried to take his life. His suicide attempt did happen right around the same time that he and Mama June officially called it quits. So, some couldn’t help but wonder if the breakup had anything to do with it.
Geno Doak, however, reassures the outlet his split from Mama June Shannon had NOTHING to do with him trying to end his life.
In a video you can watch by clicking here, Geno explains that the overdose was NOT accidental. He says it was intentional because he was in a “very dark place.” Geno added this was the first time he ever slipped into a place dark enough that he attempted to end his life.
How did she save Geno Doak?
To be clear, it was not Mama June Shannon who saved Geno when he actually tried to commit suicide. He was fortunate enough that a friend was at his house when he took all of the pills. His friend spotted the empty pill bottles and called 911.
June offered a helping hand after he returned home. Geno said she came to his house to get the rest of her things and asked what his plans were. He knew he needed treatment, but he wasn’t sure where to go. June told him she knew a place he could go that she had a connection to. So, she made a phone call and got him the help he needed.
With the help of the treatment he’s received, he’s gone through the 12 steps and figured out what was causing him to end up in a dark place.
