TMZ broke the news in early March 2023 that long-time Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix split up after nine years together. The breakup came after Ariana discovered that Tom was cheating on her with their co-star, Rachel (Raquel) Leviss.
Despite nearly a year passing since the scandal rocked reality TV, the New York Times recently wrote a piece calling Tom Sandoval the Most Hated Man In America. The reality star once again faced backlash for comparing himself to George Floyd and OJ Simpson.
Amid his notoriety, satire site The Onion published a fake interview with the Vanderpump Rules star. The outlet asked questions such as “When will your band tour again?” during the fake interview. “When we have another affair to promote,” pretend Tom answered.
The parody interview asked if Tom Sandoval regretted comparing himself to George Floyd. “Yes, because I see myself as more of a Breonna Taylor,” came the fake answer.

Rachel Leviss isn’t ready to put the affair behind her just yet, either. News broke last week that she had filed a bombshell lawsuit against both Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix. The affair was reportedly discovered through an intimate video recording of Tom and Rachel that Ariana found on Tom’s phone.
Rachel’s lawsuit alleges that she was recorded without her consent and that Ariana shared the video with others. Only Lisa Vanderpump has spoken out about the court filing. Until March 5, when Tom Sandoval broke his silence.
Sources close to the reality star spoke to the Daily Mail about his reaction to being sued by his former mistress. The insider revealed that the bartender is “crushed” by the lawsuit. The insider added that no one “ever realized that this would take the toll on Rachel that it did.’
According to the source, Tom Sandoval was blindsided by the legal action. “He loved her so much and was so sure that she was the one he would spend forever with. For her to turn around and sue him is so absolutely shocking,” the spy spilled to the outlet.
Ariana Madix has been too busy starring on Broadway to comment on the lawsuit.
